Found 21st Aug 2013
Just received an email advising that I could purchase the Angel Taster Pack of 6 wines for free (apparently worth £67.44)- and just pay £4.99 postage from Naked Wines.

Hopefully the link works for you all. The email was sent to me as I have not ordered from them in over 6 months!

Apologies if already listed here, I did a search and coule not find!

How much did you expect?

which is a standard bottle of wine...

are these full size bottles?

"Sorry, youre not eligible for this product . Please make sure youre using the account we e-mailed this offer to."

Never mind! Great deal for you though. Just watch out for the automatic membership which you have signed up for. £20 a month will be taken from your bank and put into your account. Not saying this us a bad thing just something to be aware of.

Haha! A standard bottle of wine then! What did you want - a barrel of each?

I'm sure this was posted with o2 yesterday.

As for the angel thing it says it can be cancelled at any time

not working :o(

Just got an email saying wine is delayed and will be with me tomorrow. Naturally I emailed back saying I shouldn't have to pay £4.99 for delivery given the delay.

got same reply - but they let you get right to the end of the ordering process before they block the order

so others don't even bother - they now have all my personal details to sell on - not impressed!

sorry OP but super COLD

EliTom

How do you check if you're going to get charged £20 a month?

Just called them. Basically o2 were only meant to send this offer to a limited number of customers but it went to everyone so they've made a massive loss. Deliveries are going to take some time too.

Whoops! I hope they're still going to honour the orders.

what's this about being charged £20/month?

they have my credit card details now !

EliTom

found it

in T&Cs

Standard Angel Terms and Conditions:

When you become a Naked Angel, you'll be helping our network of talented winemakers to make delicious wines, for less.
You support them by saving £20 a month (or any multiple of £10) into your Naked Wines account towards your next order, yours to spend on ANY of our wines, whenever you want.

so they will take £20 per month from my credit card to spend on what will be still overpriced wines

need to email them now ..... grrrrr

ah - my order was never placed - so maybe I am not yet opted in !!!

guess that's why I did not see the option - I did not get that far !

EliTom

This offer is just specific to your email address cheztaz. Not a deal for the rest of us unfortunately!

I reckon you should be ok then, but yeah best to do what you do to be on the safe side

hmmmm ....

I am now very suspious about this site

first I tried the deal above and got right to the point of clicking to order and got the not applicable account email address

then went back and logged in again to sort out my account and they the site added the case on the home page to my basket - Naked Customer Favourites Pack so now I had two items in my basket, or so it said nad the total with all discounts and delivery was £24.99 ... so basically £25 for 12 bottle ... or so it appeared and I was just about to click order as that would not hvae been a bad deal, but decided to check in more detail so removed the free case Angel Taster Pack, and updated the basket and the price remained at £25, so £25 for six bottles - not so good - but still misleading ...

maybe another trick to get a first order and in the club, or just a glitch in their website ... but no impressed by the tactics used

would be much better to say after registration that offer is not valid, not after all details and credit card number are stored !!!

EliTom

Why do I have a £20 voucher on my account today? I opted out !

any one else have this happen?

They give you a £20 voucher after your first order

I have £20 credit on my account but I have not placed an order - very odd

EliTom

ah ok. Well it can stay there Happy with my purchase for £4.99

Sorry for all the confusions caused! I did not see this £20 per month addition, and have now removed my card details. Apparently receiving delivery tomorrow and was told I could cancel at any time, so will be cancelling straight after my order has arrived.

Has anyone received their wine yet?

I got my case delivered today. I was one of the lucky ones who got it for £4.99. Still can't believe it!

I received an email last night in regards to the £20. This is what you get for leaving a review, and they give it to you before hand for some reason.

Hoping my wine will turn up today

Original Poster

My wine has arrived this morning! I called them about the £20 credit, and they advised you receive the credit for reviewing the wines, I said I had not left any reviews as yet, and they say it is autogenerated beforehand! :-)

I also asked about the £20 per month deduction, and they said I had not signed up to that! so...6 bottles of wine for £4.99 delivered, as well as a £20 credit towards another order should I choose to use it and no further obligations. X) Happy Days

Ohhhh - just had an email from Naked Wines asking why I did not order?

hum - because they rejected the order due to not being eligble might be a good reason !!!

emailed them back saying not impressed that they harvest details and then reject the order - lets see what they say !

It's not really their fault. You tried to use a deal specific to another person's account. Of course it was rejected. Their system will be automated to generate an email if you have any items in your basket that have not been checked out. Lots of shopping websites incorporate this feature.

To fly off the handle with accusations is a bit of a rash response. I find being polite will always get you further with customer services and you're more likely to get a better deal... In fact I'll take my own advice (received the same email this morning) and let's see who get's the better response, shall we?

Just had my wine delivered in time for the weekend

They have honoured my order and they are being delivered tomorrow. I did not ask for the £4.99 back either, six bottles for postage only is a steal.
