This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Credit to rodentworld for previous expired deal posted on 29th October, but I found that the deal is still live through a different link.

Delivery is included and the subscription can be scheduled to start for issues from 19th November to 5th May 2020 at time of posting, and includes the bumper Christmas issue.

Remember to cancel the direct debit after the £1 has been taken to avoid further payments, the 6 issues will still be delivered.

Got this last week for my mam, think it starts on the 5th December so she can spend many hours circling stuff to watch whilst stuffing her face with mince pies and quality street

OK - given they aren't doing this because they really really like you - …OK - given they aren't doing this because they really really like you - how do you give them your Direct Debit details, signup for the £1 deal and avoid being charged the £49.40 for a 6 month subscription? The T&Cs say at least 14 days notce.......Anybody done this ?

I've done this many times with different magazine subscriptions with no problem, you sign-up with valid bank details for the direct debit on the £1 for 6 issues link, after the £1 has been taken for the 6 issues, cancel the direct debit. They can't take any further payments and will automatically cancel the subscription. You are also protected by the direct debit guarantee, which states that you can cancel a direct debit at any time, you will not need to phone and speak to anyone to cancel and they won't chase you for any further payments. No debit/credit card details are needed at any point.

I signed up with an unused app-based bank account, with no overdraft and no money in it, apart from the £1 to cover the only payment required!

If anyone does also want to inform them, you can do so via their web form - I did so last year and got a very polite email back confirming the subscription had been duly cancelled at their end.

When I do subscriptions like this I just call them after say 3 or 4 issues and ask to cancel and they do it. Never had to cancel a direct debit myself.
Cheers just ordered them
Thanks. Was waiting for this! Ordered
Let them take the pound then cancel online direct debit. Been doing this for over ten years. I'm sure they keep doing these deals to inflate the sales figures. Who wants to pay 3 odd quid an issue, ridiculous
Thanks for posting this. I missed the deal when it was posted previously so pleased to be able to order now ready for Christmas.

We can tell!
Be aware they may refuse you if you've done this too many times before.

I did it three years on the trott with no problems, cancelling the DD each time (they actually continued to send issues I'd not paid for!). Tried the forth year, all went through but nothing arrived. When I contacted them to ask why, was politely told that I was effectively blacklisted from further offers as I had already had three trials.

That said, I managed to get it again last year so going to give this another try.

Just use another email address, bank details and delivery address if you can, works a treat!

I'd be very surprised if that didn't work as you are effectively a completely different person to their system.

On previous threads for this, people have said they've used a different name / email address OK.

Thanks OP, great find.
And, thanks all commenters for the reassuring tips.
Ordered 2 as gifts. One went through and the other was declined. Will try using another email etc.
