Just got back from Asda and the free range eggs medium size have had a rollback to £0.96 from £1.36. Good deal for 6 free range eggs.

Even at 96p they are overpriced. Dairy/eggs prices at supermarkets are kept artificially high for some reason.

I know not everyone has farms near them, but our local one does 6 free range large for 80p.

John

eggs....... wow, just wow.

You're lucky. I live in central Southampton so I don't have an easy walk to a farm, but my in-laws live in a lovely Northants village and the farm there is charging £1 for 6 medium eggs - and £1.20 for 6 large ones. And similar prices are charged round where my sister lives in Devon.

Hot (&rep) for me.

(Just don't tell your local farmer, jb!)

Wow, that is quite expensive - I'd want organic gold plated ones for that price

They were 70p till a couple of months ago, so we already had a big price hike recently heh heh.
Can't blame them though, I suppose feed has gone up a fair bit.

Morrisons were doing 18 medium free range eggs for £1.49 on Monday.

Hardly free you have to pay for them in the first place and their upkeep and the time involved.

Cool I'm off for a 30 mile round trip to my asda tonight to pick up a box.

even tesco did 15 for £2, and i thought that was dear.

96p for 6 is terrible.....but then its a non branded item , they only tell us about the offers on branded items

They were nice eggs though:thumbsup:

They cost £1.40/dozen around here if you're willing to pick them up from the farm

then surely the Tesco 15 medium free range eggs for £2 is a better deal ?

ok lets think 28 eggs a week ,, food 50p a week ,, ok i pay 50p for 28 eggs , ok so sorry not free ,,, but at least i know when mine were laid , and how fresh they really are ,, not eggs from a supermarket what sit in there store rooms for 2 weeks before they are on sale in the store

Not really, I don't live near either store, and ASDA is the only one who … Not really, I don't live near either store, and ASDA is the only one who delivers to my town so NO, hahahahaha, jeepers who cares anyway? They're EGGS:w00t:

forgive me, i thought this was site was about item prices that were a good deal
my maths makes 15 for £2 a better deal than 6 for 96p , regardless of where anyone lives. The site doesnt stipulate only good deals to be posted near where you live
