Community Updates
Prime Student is a membership programme created especially for higher education students studying in the UK and Republic of Ireland (ROI).

A six-month trial of Amazon Prime delivery benefits, Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Wardrobe and Prime Photos is available to customers who satisfy the conditions set out in the Prime Student Terms & Conditions. Discounts and promotions will be e-mailed to your Amazon.co.uk e-mail account or made available on the Prime Student membership page.

Note: Prime Student members in the Republic of Ireland can access Prime Video at primevideo.com. Access to Prime Music isn’t available to customers residing outside of the UK.

After your six-month trial, your Prime Student trial will automatically convert to either a £39 per year or £3.99 per month Amazon Prime membership and you'll gain access to additional benefits including Kindle First. You can receive these benefits at a reduced rate for up to four years with automatic renewal. Amazon Prime benefits received through the Prime Student programme can't be shared with another Amazon account.

If you'd like to upgrade to a discounted Prime Student membership before the end of the trial in order to gain access to these additional benefits sooner, you can do so at any time by going to Manage Your Prime Membership. Once paid membership is selected, you'll no longer be eligible for the Amazon Prime trial through Prime Student, even if your paid membership is subsequently cancelled.

If you don't want to automatically convert to a discounted Prime Student membership following your trial, you can change your Prime Student membership settings at any time by visiting Manage Your Prime Membership. Please note that you may continue to receive discounts and promotions by e-mail unless you cancel your Prime Student membership which may be cancelled by visiting Manage Your Prime Membership and clicking on Manage Prime Student Membership.

After you graduate, or at the end of your fourth year of Prime Student membership, whichever comes first, your Prime Student membership will end and your Amazon Prime membership will automatically renew on its anniversary date into a full paid membership for Amazon Prime at the regular rate.

Students haven't got no money to buy stuff on Amazon after they've paid …Students haven't got no money to buy stuff on Amazon after they've paid for the cheap membership fee.

At least half the members on hukds have student nus card.
I’m not a student, but I have a baby face. I use moisturiser. Do I qualify?

Anyone know if they still offer the student discount for NUS members?

I believe so, although I don't think you get the 5% discount anymore

For this amazon offer do you just need a unidays account and nothing else? Or do you need an .ac email or other proof?

Just unidays account.

I have one of those and when I go through unidays link it asks for .ac address or to provide uni headed paperwork. Am I doing something wrong then?

Is it actually free for the first 6 months?

It doesn't mention it on the link...

You can't sign up to unidays without an ac. Email unfortunately I don't think, even if you have an NUS card so it will exclude you from many student offers online as they mostly operate via unidays

Seems like its only for full time students
Can I get NUS card with Udemy course? I have tried this with ecareers and it blew me out!!
I did this when it was through another student verifier. New account + unidays, could I get another 6 months free?
You don't need to have UNiDAYS. Simply, go HERE , enter you uni/college email address and they will send you a link to confirm. That's it.
In my case, the Amazon website couldn't automatically verify my uni email address, so I chat online with one of the advisers from Amazon, send a proof of enrollment (letter from uni) and that's it.

would also like to know i have a feeling if you in say 16-25 you can do a online course for one for acouple of days or something for free
You can’t share a student prime account same as a full paid version?
yespleasesir14th Mar

I’m not a student, but I have a baby face. I use moisturiser. Do I qualify?

You certainly do, you also get a butter wouldn't melt in the mouth discount.
How do you become a student for this? I have gone down the ecareers route and it didn't work??
Why do students get all the deals.

I (aka my younger sister) already has Amazon Prime, which I paid the £39 for last month. Live Chat confirm they would refund fully if she cancelled.

But if it's £3.99 per month, as in the image there, it wouldn't be cost effective over the year?

It's £39 a year OR £3.99 a month.
I got the NUS card after signing up to a cheap online course. Just contacted Amazon by email with picture of the card and that was enough for them to allow me to get the 6 month trial. Now I'm a few months into year one of £39 per year. Its wonderful

Can't wait for prime day and the hope of another £19.99 for 15 month PS Plus deal
Note : existing students with prime have had their accounts automatically adjusted to £39 per month (feel free to check)
Student of Life

does that count..?
Thank you....used my nephews uni account to validate as a student, job done, 6 months trial
Tom.Wilson20/03/2019 12:20

It's £39 a year OR £3.99 a month.

That's correct Tom. But with 12 months in a year, it would be £7.98 more expensive than the one off £39 i've already paid...

Unless they actually don't start charging until the 6th month?

That was my question.
