Edit.
You can use Boingo to access BT Openzone, The Cloud and just about any other of the 100,000 paywall wifi you find in the UK.

To save your data plan, you might want to hop on WiFi when it's available, but WiFi isn't always free. It'll be free for 6 months if you take Amazon and Boingo up on their offer. Download one free app, and you get six months of WiFi access.

This offer is valid on your phone or tablet with Boingo’s Wi-Finder app installed via the Amazon Underground app store. The app shows you where Boingo-supported networks are and helps you connect to them.

I found a fair number of supported hotspots in my area, but your mileage may vary.

1.2 out of 5 stars on Amazon.com. No thanks.
If this works it is an incredible deal. I spend a long time in US airports and Boingo is often the only option, it is terrible like but beggars can't be choosers, access is available often for just half an hour.
Boingo is great in the USA, at some of the UK mainline stations. But BT & The Cloud have the lion share of public access wifi in the UK & in major city centres. Thanks.
Never heard of Boingo myself, though paid public wifi is of zero interest to me and something that IMHO is barely even needed. Free wifi at bars/cafes etc is ok but even that is barely needed. Unless you are some kind of jet setter who is forever travelling and only heads home to sleep, the 3G or 4G already on your smart phone is more than adequate for the odd dip into email/web/social media. Unless you want to download masses of data on your smartphone, I just don't see the need...

yawn, thanks for wasting your time with your post.

read the title of a post and if it's not for you, move along. I'm not interested in your personal view.

HEAT oP!
Heat as great for airport access!!!!
good that is free for 6 months but why to pay for something that is free? The cloud is free everywhere you just need to register and most cafes and shops use it. If not O2 is free as well.
