6 Months Half Price Movies for New and Existing Sky Customers

Found 8th Dec 2014
I just got this deal and it's fantastic, especially with two young kids, it's going to be perfect for the holidays it means I can get on with the housework and catching up with friends and they can just chill out in the media room watching a film. The older kids love it two, I've hardly had the front room to myself since we got it, but I guess it beats them being online all night. Kids hey! It's a really great saving a lot cheaper than hauling everyone to the cinema. Merry Christmas everyone!

was it a retention deal

How much is the full movie package?
Only reason I don't get it, is because online USA Netflix is a lot better value for 6.00 per month

Umm.....

Isn't that called abandonment?

Merry Christmas everyone!

When does it expire as my holidays aren't until August?

Its a saving of around £110 - we have Netflix too but find it more exhausting trying to pick something to watch, Sky is super easy and has a better ariety of films

Even though i'm entitled to this, i just decided to get the Now TV 3 Months deal instead.

@martyj999 I think that's a very unfair comment, I'm just trying to help you guys out. I spend a lot of time with my kids and sometimes it's nice just to know they are safe, chilling watching a movie whilst I can get on with my household chores and work. As the old saying goes - if you haven't got anything nice to say - don't say anything at all

The guy told me that you need to order it by the 12th to ensure installation before Christmas!

I'm joking, I'm joking! I have 4 under 10, if they can be distracted by something for any longer than 10 minutes it's a godsend! It's actually nice to see some honesty in your post, I probably should've made my post more obviously sarcastic - sorry

Brill if you don't have any other deals on your account,I tried to get this but they wouldn't let me as there is already a deal on my account which they had put on there to keep me for another 12 months so not voting either way,but thanks girl posting

Its advertised on tv, and in your offers on-line - definitely for all customers - problem is if you already have a deal on anything this will override it.

I have just checked on my Sky account and the half price offer on movies for 6 months is £8.25. Where does the £19.00 come from? Also I have had this offer before, and you have to pay extra if you want it in HD, crazy! I told them to shove it when they told me that.

Hey guys - my sister just sent me this one which is a much better deal! vouchercodes.co.uk/off…14/?tid=v:Dqqik:vcdxdtsqx24a8bf______ gutted I missed it!

I already have an offer on for 12 months at £11.50 for the basic package. In the small print it says the movies offer will wipe the existing one off, so at checkout my bill goes upto to around £30 anyway! Anyone got round this? Is it worth ringing up & asking for the half price movies on top of my existing deal?

If you look a few comments above, you'll see i sent it to you as well. I ordered the 12 months deal a couple of days ago

I tried this online, I am existing customer on a 12 month 50% off deal, so I currently pay £14 per month for Entertainment package. It was showing as an extra £19 per month online, when I phoned I was told an extra £18 per month which I declined.

Two minutes later, was called back, "yes, we can do it for £22 per month, all in" so they are honouring the 1/2 price movies for me even though I am an existing customer on a deal already. Extra £8 over Christmas for movies is well worth it and £22 is pretty good compared to what the basic package is at full cost.

So try online first and then a speculative call to see what they say. Don't accept anything until they call back, worked for me!

Exactly what happened to me. Call them and they will say that you cannot have another deal and ask if you still want to upgrade. I said no and minutes later they called back and said they would do it for 1/2 price. Already had my moneys worth, Elf, Hangover 3, Black Christmas last night, who knows what tonight!

MMMM sky, believe in being bent over

Don't think there was any need to mention the "media room" : )
