I mean fine, Game are usually really bad for pricing. But this is a really good deal, let down only by the great deal from this morning from MS.

But the only reason Game will be doing this deal is because of Microsofts deal and they're still more expensive

Yep, they're panicking that they're gonna lose business and with this "deal" betting that alot of people will see their deal and miss the better Microsoft deal.

Deal.
Actually its 7 months at Microsoft for £12.49 as if you turn on auto renew you get a free month. You can then cancel the renew and still keep the extra month. Seems you can buyer multiple times too.
Heat added, this is still a great deal for those with GAME store credit and what not. Can probably get 80% credit face value as well so £12ish for 6 months.

Recommend the £12.49 deal though. I made sure auto renew was off and I got an extra month for turning it on and when I checked it appears to have given me 8 months for the price of 6.

They came out of it once, well my sources tell me (A GAME manager) they're facing a similar issue right now and given how people got annoyed at GAME for not being reasonable with prices, it wouldn't surprise me if this was the time where they go under.

I think the same would apply here in terms of the extra month as they're both inputted codes with the auto-renewal incentive.

Given how much stock they're putting into gaming merchandise over games themselves, I reckon it's diversification or bust for them right now. I've not seen a game at a reasonable price outside of a sale in months...
It's a solid deal, but MS just have that even better one going and you havem't even got to leave whatever you're doing to get it.
Price matched at Amazon for three plus three. Waiting to see if they match the MS store as have available credit to spend thanks to BT deals.

Define "not being reasonable", I have always found them on a par with other physical retailers like Grainger etc, its just the e-tailers who beat them hands down, but its not rocket science to see how they do that! (hint: less overheads and not paying their taxes!)

Its amusing that you're slating GAME for their offer using MS as a comparator!! You do realise that MS COULD reduce the price to whatever they want, they could even make it free, compare by all means, but lets at least be fair and compare apples with apples

I'm comparing a deal for 6 months Xbox live to a deal for 6 months Xbox live. Not sure what the issue is.

As for thinking Game is reasonable? Try comparing a newly released game available in Tesco for £35 to Game selling it for £49.99

As has been mentioned before, this is still a good deal as subs are not usually this cheap, especially if you a) have credit/vouchers to spend at GAME or b) prefer shopping in store.

But yes, the MS deal is slightly cheaper.
A good deal to post.... but the timing is awful.

I didn't say that you weren't, but my point is that its an MS product that effectively has little tangible value, they can price ANYONE out of the market so comparing them to GAME (who HAVE to buy from MS) is unfair.

As for the Tesco comment, games aren't their main product, so loss leaders like AAA games are used to get people through the door mainly because they will buy other items at the same time (not that they even do discounted day one titles much nowadays)! To counter your argument, I saw South Park in Tesco for £29 the other day, its been <£25 at GAME since before Christmas!! There is no one-stop-shop, we NEED as much competition in the market as possible to keep the prices down! Ask yourself this, if Tesco had no competition, would they sell a £49 game for £35??? THINK ABOUT IT

You're arguing that Game needs to exist to keep the prices lower in other retailers. That's fair enough. It doesn't back up your claim that Game is reasonable though.

£25 for the new SP game in Game? My store is selling it preowned for £38 and new for £45.

It wasn't at my local the other week as my lad wanted it (even HMV had it on sale at £29!!), but I don't shop there as its cheaper online. That may seem contrary to what I said, but its not, my point remains that their prices are REASONABLE when compared to similar outlets, and no matter what anyone thinks, reduced competition is never good

If you have game store credit, my advice would be to buy Xbox live credit at game, this can also be done via top cash back, then use the Xbox live credit to buy ms 6+1 mths Xbox live gold membership. Again you can then do this second transaction via quidco or topcashback. Also small added bonus to this is you will also get additional points at game.

That being said, I just got Doom collectors edition for 14.99, Assassins Creed Origins collectors 39.99 and Morrowind collectors for 19.99. They usually are always the most expensive then out of the blue you have outstanding one off deals.
Don't get why it's a big deal, its about £30 for 12 months so id expect 6 months being about half price anyway which is £15.
Available online
Cheaper Microsoft website
can anyone help me please?is it possible to use in portuguese accounts?
thanks
If I have to leave the house I can't give it heat
Cracking deal for those who missed out o the Microsoft deal. Unusual for game to have a decent promotion

When you add the code it says that you'll get an extra month if you set auto renew on, most people did that (and turned it off after) and it gave 2 extra months. Might have been a temporary glitch.
