I've been to Zanzibar. Well worth going, I think 5 days might just be enough time to see most things as long as you aren't going to sit on a beach for any length of time.
Sounds lovely. Just been checking out Zanzibar and wow I need to go: the history

I don't wear a bikini when I am there.
Having visited zanzibar in november last year, its a fantastic destination which i would highly recommended.

We stayed in the royal zanzibar resort in nungwi which is located on the northernmost part of the island (1hr drive from the airport). Local people were very friendly and beaches were exceptionally clean (mainly due to the fact that it is not overcrowded with tourists).

I have never considered Zanzibar as a holiday destination and furthermore would not have known to stay in the most northern part of the island as (although my geography is pretty good) I had no idea it was an island

It looks brill - cheers all!
Could anyone recommend hotels with bars/restaurants nearby. We’d be 2 adults and a 15 year old travelling. Thanks
Great place, book your tours with David the acrobat when you are there, top bloke.
