After visiting Corfu for the first and last time in 2019, I find the accommodation ratings on this island to be rather generous for what you get.
8.8 on booking.com doesn’t go far.

Not saying I go to watch TV, just a bit of a tech geek so I always find it funny when these places are using old/cheap tech
Still voted hot.

Halkidiki is beautiful however the flights always seem to be at the crack of dawn and be warned that the transfer from the airport to get there is 2hrs! For 6 days I don't think the amount of traveling is worth it

Investigated it. Good price, but only mid-teens for weather mid April. I would like nice temperature if visiting Greece.

I'd rather take you to Mykonos
Certainly beats the £6k I spent on 7 nights in Sani last year!

Very good point. I see the journey to from a destination as part of the holiday, so if a flight consists of animals who can't control themselves, then the beginning of the holiday is ruined. As for a 2 hour coach ride in baking heat with poor or no air con, with smelly fellow passengers, going over bumpy Greek roads, that's half my holiday ruined!

I’ve been to Greece 3 times in early April and the weather has always been between 23 and 30 degrees each time

What’s that got to do with Halkidiki? Nowhere near Corfu

True, but it’s still in the same country.
Halkidiki is beautiful and the waters and beach are top notch. I can't comment on the hotel but that area has amazing beaches and very clean waters.
Water temp will be colder compared to July but for those swimming in the summer in the UK isles the temp will be perfect hahahah

Transfers from the airport are tricky. You can rent a car or pre-book a transfer with a van. Or take a cab. Plan about 100 euro each way if you take a cab. (ouch).
Renting a car allows you to explore the rest of Halkidiki if you fancy taking strolls around.
Around may rentals should be about 30 pounds a day or less. Shop around and look for rental deals from the many independent operators in the area.
Good price but flight prices from Manchester in mid May are high. Overall prices for the same package were only a little higher with easyJet holidays as a package for the same hotel and that included full ATOL protection.
Also Jet2 are offering lots of free child places for Halkidiki packages
I love this place I haven't been since the wildfire some years ago, lovely place with plenty to do great if you have a family there's plenty to keep them occupied, there's some really good restaurants there.
2+3 option = over £1k

Ooh interesting what about the sea temp?
We flew out with TUI and stayed at the aristotles resort in Halkidiki. Yes it was a long travel, however the transfer bus had air con and was amazing. Halkidiki is amazing, definitely great value for money

I already responded to someone else about this... it was a tongue in cheek comment, no need to take it so seriously.

Do they drive the opposite side of the road?
You mean the right side?
Yes
I went to Halkidiki in May and had one nice day out of seven weather wise, the rest of the week was freezing. Nice place though.
