Nice! Have some heat from me!

No offence but more likely you scanned one of the inside cans barcode of the entire 6 pack by accident, thus it scanned as 1 instead of 6. I have made the mistake before...

Not a single item on that receipt scanned at £1.74

Self scanned. Receipt proves price!

Happened to me before with a 6 pack of cat food, the bar code reader has mistakenly read a single can instead of the multi pack barcode more than likely.

I used the self checkout as well.

Yeah sounds like it's scanned single can code but lucky to get through as most self scan tills also weigh the product.

wonkey

Self scanned. Receipt proves price!

sorry what i meant was has this worked with anyone else somewhere else.... as im in london/differenent store.

The barcode number that was scanned is printed on the receipt in the middle, can you confirm whether this matches the single can barcode or the multipack bar code, that will clear up then if this is a genuine reduction or if you just got lucky with the scanner.

Is does match although there is an extra 0 on the end of both of them, can and pack?

These cans are double measures!? Cracking price!

Are you saying the barcode on the single can & the pack of six are identical?

Steady on !

They ARE all at these prices.
SAINSBURYS £1.46 each or any 4 FOR £5.00
ASDA £1.72 each or any 4 FOR £5.00
TESCO £1.73 each or any 4 FOR £5.00
OCADO £1.73 each or any 4 FOR £5.00

If it was self scanned it must have been ID checked.....

If the customer service rep wasn't paying attention they may have just reset the weight discrepancy at the same time.

I believe the OP thinks it's a legit deal, however would like a second buyer to confirm.

Usually multi pack tins don't have an individual barcode; I may be wrong.

They do, but they don't usually scan separately, so OP most likely didn't scan one of the cans instead of the cardboard outer. It wouldn't have registered on the till as a valid barcode.

Looks like the 6 pack is plastic vaccuum wrapped, so the barcode may of not been fully visible for 1 can to scan. Sounds like it has though....but someone else needs to prove before I vote either way.

I went into asda and tried but still scanning at £6 in stevenage

asda don't use the last digit of the barcodes on the item which is why there's an extra digit on the item compared to the the code on the receipt.

Same happened to me in morrisons the cashier scanned one can by mistake

sounds like your all into sausage fests
