6 x Tins Heinz Baked Beans - £2.00 @ Lidl

Found 8th Mar 2013
4 tins + 2 free, these were down to £2.50 last time I was there, but went in today and they were down to £2.00.

To be honest, I still bought the Lidl-own baked beans for 33p/tin but for the bean- connoisseurs out there I thought I'd let you know...!

Oh and sorry, I should say Lidl beans are 4 for £1.12 so I did save pennies, wahey

Lidl's own beans are far better than these watered down,Hyped up, over-priced rubbish.

Well I have never tried the Lidl ones, but they are going to have to be seriously good to beat Heinz.
Tried many alternative brands before an nothin comes close to Heinz in my opinion. Anyone else tried Lidls beans?

Heinz isn't all that, our household much prefers Branston - and they're 'made' in Britain.

Ex-student I lived with survived off lidl's own, he's not dead or anything so that's always a good thing.

Heinz are unbeatable.

The kind that shop at lidl would not appreciate a rich taste like Heinz.

I'll pick these up from waitrose when I'm next in there.

For those on a budget though I'm sure lidl are great so shan't be a snob. I know lidl are popular as both my cleaner and my gardener frequent this shop.

Dont be silly I seen your privately registered number plate on the Range Rover sports class, the one with the tinted windows... You happened to parked in the "Disabled" bay in lidl car park at the time ;-)

Do you pay road tax on this vehicle ? or do you get it free on mobility ?

That is good, I haven't bought beans myself for a while and when I looked at the shelf and they were £2.50 for 4 in Tesco I couldn't believe it.

Cant agree on Heinz, or Lidl's own. Branston are the best, and bargain priced frequently as seen on here, but each to their own. Lidl and Aldi are better than most big super's as they ahve unusual stuff, great offers, and easy to shop as smaller, no need for 30 different types of beans etc.

As I work at a lidl I have tried our brand and it is actually really nice, maybe not better than Heinz but much cheaper so that's what I buy.

Also my stores stock of the 4+2 Heinz has all gone, so its just 4 tins. Therefore this will be store specific and I doubt many stores will have stock left, I reckon the original poster got lucky.

Absolute bo**ox, Heinz are rank, even at the price you quote!

Branston are the King of beans and deals on their beans are often as good, if not better than this. Searck HUKD to find them!

Branston best? Never a truer word said.
Now at Tesco on 3 for £1 so the same price as this Heinz muck at Lidl.
No contest really is it?

I think it all depends on the kind of food you are used to. If you are brought up on cheaper foods you probably get used to it and start to enjoy it.
The supermarket Iceland do frozen kebabs which i think you would like. Never tried them but probably ideal for people like you.

Don't get excited I don't think there on offer I just think they sell them. My cleaner told me about them. They wouldn't be to my taste. Wouldn't feed them to my dogs to be honest.
Reckon you'd like them though.

Filet mignon only for me mate so sorry to disappoint. Although I am partial to some smoked horsemeat - yum.
You'll also be disappointed to hear that I've never had a kebab in my life and don't intend to start now.
I'll leave those to you if it's all the same.
