Product Description
Beer
Tsingtao (pronounced Ching Dow) is a truly authentic Chinese beer. A real taste of China since 1903.
Tsingtao is one of the few remaining authentic world beers available in the UK.
Founded by British and German settlers in 1903, Tsingtao is only ever brewed in the sea port of Qingdao (know as Beer Town), in North Eastern China. This guarantees that every bottle contains the same pure ingredients and has the same great taste.
Brewed using Laoshan spring water with malted barley, rice and yeast, Tsingtao delivers a light, clean and distinguished taste. This is an incredibly smooth and easy to drink pilsner with an attractive aroma of floral hops and distinct cereal/nutty notes. This is the ideal beer to compliment food dishes.
This multiple award winning beer is loved across the world in more than 50 countries with both men and women. Tsingtao combines both heritage and tradition alongside a modern and eclectic audience who enjoy seeking out new adventures and experiences.
Appearance:
A pale golden liquid with a light sparkle and an attractive head when poured into a glass.
Aroma:
A pleasant, clean and attractive aroma with floral hops and distinct Cereal/Grain/Nutty notes
Taste:
A refreshing clean, slightly off-dry flavour exhibiting floral citrus toffee notes. A clean and slightly bitter / dry aftertaste
Key Ingredients
Tsingtao is brewed using spring water from the Laoshan mountains giving it the unique crisp flavour combined with 100% natural ingredients sourced from around the world.
Yeast from Germany (Same recipe for over 100 years)
Barley Malt from Canada, Australia & France
Hops and Rice from Western China
Underground spring water from the Laoshan Mountains (birthplace of Taoism)

Heat, love the stuff!
Brewed by Germans in China I think. Great beer
It used to be even better before they reduced it from 5% to 4.7%

Tourist Trap??*

Anyway, Tsingtao is OK, but I prefer Pearl River.

*If you can understand what I am saying, it is 50p, if you cannot understand what I am saying, it is £5.

Case in point. My mum booked a room at the Hyatt in Nanning, £110 per person per night, my Chinese wife went in and got us the same room for £60 per ROOM per night.
(TBF, the Home Inn rooms are just as nice and cost £16 per night).
Noticed it in mine last week so definitely national.
Not in mine at Poole Ringwood Rd today bought Heineken. Adding Heat
Good deal, thanks op.

Pearl River isn't very popular …Pearl River isn't very popular here...https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/pearl-river-12°-43/95164/

They dont say where they were drinking it; I have never managed to find any outside of Guangdong province; if it was overseas, God knows how old or how badly stored it had been.

There is the possibility they have changed the brew since I last managed to get my hands on a bottle; that was back in 2008 or 2009.

There is also the possibility that my tastes dont correspond with other drinkers; I rate Portuguese "Super Bok" as one of the nicer, local brews, how about you??

Sadly, I have lost the photos of a girl wearing the pearl necklace I gave her; I believe a friend stole them.
