Excellent price. But aren't LEDs the way forward in terms of electricity costs, heat given off, avoiding blown bulbs, etc.?

Thanks

I bought some on saturday ... they worked for about 20 minutes then turned off. Taking them back.

It seems from the comments that these quickly go pop.

Buy LED Christmas lights, as they last years and use a fraction of the electricity.

I have a different red berry set from last year and I've already used up the spare bulbs, so I wonder whether it's an issue with these type of bulbs. I would add that it is not all traditional filament bulbs that have this problem, as we are still using a 40 bulb set from 1991 which is still going strong with only a few bulbs having been replaced - they don't make them them like they used to!

I havent had any problems

Be careful when reserving items from argos. I have had many prices that have increased when I go into the shop having to get the manager to honour them. They don't have to either. My argument was there is no facility to pay for the item at the time of reserving. Which I would have done. Have some items that have just been delivered that have gone back up to full price from 70% off so going to have to go through the same again. I wish they would change it so you can pay on the Internet.
