60%+ off Airfix Kits direct from Airfix Website

My son is moving from making Lego to Airfix and whilst looking for models I found that the Airfix website currently has quite a few items in their Last Chance to Buy collection which start at £1.49 (+postage) and a few can be nice stocking fillers/presents, especially with some sets reduced by over 60%. The problem I find is that I normally take over from my son so that they can be “perfect” 
The only downside with the deal is that the postage is £4.98 but free if you order items worth over £30.

A few example that are on there at the moment are below.

Triumph TR4A Starter Set 1:32 £4.49 from £9.99
Westland Lynx Army Helicoper £9.99 from £29.99
BAe Sea Harrier £6.99 from £16.99
Red Arrows Hawk £3.49 from £7.99
British Force Forward Assault Group Gift Set £8.99 from 24.99
British Forces Patrol and Support Gift Set £19.99 from £49.99
British Forces Helicopter Support Set £16.99 from £39.99
WWII Gurkhas £1.49 from £5.99

This has been on for ages now, had some very good deals, and still a few to be had.

I wish I had time to get back into this sort of thing

Memories of being a kid.

Well worth a look,heat on

good post mate. have some heat from me. the 1.48 scale planes are a bargain

Not made anything for a very long time, but I often look up videos on YouTube of people building and painting models and miniatures - I find it quite relaxing

you can find a lot of them at the same price (and even cheaper) in tk maxx

Heat for the nostalgia

hot,ordered a few,be handy for the winter nights,cheers op

Angel Intercepter for £3? I haven't had one since I was a kid. Excellent, thanks for posting!

I quite like the look of the WWII Italian Infantry 1:72 - A01757, though I don't know if its just the way the illustration has been done, it looks like they are walking backwards.

It is a pity about that postage charge. I'd have the Kingfisher. Wish I had more time to build them. Still always good to see an Airfix post. Keep keeping the faith

Thanks OP

You so wanted an Italian tank for that gag.

Would buy them. Build them (with care). Wreck them (mainly burning them in the back garden). Think I was heavily influenced by Thunderbirds and Space 1999. Kaboom!

Thanks for the reminder OP. I'm an airfix club member so got another 10% off. Ordered the last 6 red arrows and a stand to display them. Heat added.

Should probably mention, the newer Airfix stuff is superb quality! Nothing like the olden days.

Coming from Youguslavia, my memories are more vivid and graphical than assembling Airfix models.

Nice deal. Thanks OP.
