Found 27th Oct
Received a flyer in the post for 60% off Sky offer (left about a month go)

Done it all via live chat, no idea if it's account specific but I just mentioned I had a leaflet with the offer and quoted the website sky.com/off…r60 and got pretty much everything for £36.20

Hope it's of help, off out now but can upload the leaflet if anyone requires it....(leaflet says deal expires 2nd Nov)

Isn’t this sky’s standard discounted retention offer nowadays

Does that include broadband please

pretty much everything for £36.20, I'm assuming TV only but please can you clarify? Sky often don't apply their discounts to HD or multiscreen options.

I'm going to give this a go, can you upload the leaflet ?

No it's not the standard discount. Many people took up the 60% deal a year ago plus £100 credit but are now only been offered 40% or 50% at a push. Reading the through misc forum over the last few weeks Sky seemed to have clamped down on the retention discounts. I think this could be due to the numbers that took up the offer last year and with what happened earlier this year with zgemma style boxes. Good to see it back but after being with Sky since the start I have decided to get myself a recordable Humax freesat box and try life without Sky.

My discount ends next month so it's time to do the usual cancellation stand off... Currently paying £14 for everything except sports but that's going up to £56. Has anyone been able to renegotiate a new deal that included upgrading to sky q?

I'm on my 5th or 6/th leaflet now this year. Waiting for black Friday deals?

I think if you get a really good discount you struggle getting a q box as well. I may be wrong. My discount was ending last month and Sky wrote to me telling me they were extending the discount for 12 months with no contract. They have never done that before! And it was a decent discount as well, around 60%.

No worky for me. Just tried via online chat from the link you provided. Given all details and said I had received the said offer but could read the terms as the dog had chewed and asked them to go through the terms with me. Was told only offer on my account was 40% off TV. I left it as signed up to virgin media 2 days ago. Servicies go live 2nd November so they better pull their finger out if they want to keep my custom

I left Sky earlier this year. I've also received the 60% offer via email and post (I had 60% discount when I left Sky). Life without Sky has been fine so far. I would probably rejoin Sky if the 60% offer included no charge for Sky Q box. As it stands, I'm ok with YouView, Netflix and Amazon so the 60% discount without Sky Q isn't enough to make me want to rejoin.

Called up today actually...only offered 40% of TV price no deal on the multi room ....i let them cancel it

I personally think sky are holding out maybe for a decent black Friday deal. It's never been this difficult in the past. I've tried speaking to retentions twice. Online chat 4 times and just keep getting offered 40% off TV bundle and nothing off fibre max. They offered me a discount on broadband unlimited but still had to pay £18.99 line rental. Cancellation still in process but I think I will be going through with it this time. Only 10 days left

My contract with Sky Runs out in mid November. Before I gave them 30 days notice two weeks ago I asked retentions for deals. They would not budge a penny and consultant was not concerned too much with me leaving. And not offers through the door and no calls begging me to stay either.

Try a live chat now and ask what they can offer to make you stay. I did this about 2 weeks into notice period (albeit some time ago) and got 60% off. Also worth going on your Sky box as I had an offer buried somewhere in the menus (possibly under Services - I forget). Others have got even better deals including account credit. Also worth haggling over your broadband if you have that with them too.

Only offered me a scabby 50% through the post this morning.

I blagged that... But had 70% , £100 credit and 1 month rolling contract. Cancelled as it was up. 50% offer so far

After last years fab offer, I cancelled after they couldn’t offer me the same, 3 days later and I’m back, £20 for full package (75% discount), rolling contract, and could possibly have got credit if I hadn’t agreed so readily.

I'm the same as you but use now tv as well with vouchers off ebay. Don't miss sky one bit

I had the 75% off and £100 credit last year. They sent me a letter stating all my offers would be extending for 12 months with no interaction needed from me; they actually tried to put me on 60% off instead but I argued that the letter stated 'all' and eventually got the original deal extended therefore, Boxsets w/movies and sports in HD plus Fibre Max for £53 as I'd blagged line rental reduction last year too. I can live with that for another 12 months!

Sky were pretty crap retention wise with me too. But I was on a very low deal anyway. I've had two emails offering 40% but that's still too much to pay.

I'm holding off sending the q box back for a while just in case a good offer is made.

That being said, I've got 10months of now TV entertainment vouchers, 8 months of movie vouchers which have all cost me next to nothing. That along with Netflix, freeview and Amazon prime....I have to say I'm honestly not really missing Sky!

Tempted to just pay the £68 & £25 credits for everything with skyq(including internet and broadband) tbh, got just over a week to go and dont seem to be budging. Cant get virgin where I live so not got much or a choice to swap.

I had that exact same leaflet but the price were for 50% off. I also left a month ago. Cheeky sods!

I left tv 2 weeks ago, now only got free to air channels. Best they could do for me was reduced line rental and fibre. I asked if I could get a deal on putting my tv back on and they said no as it would wipe out my broadband deal. Not gonna be budging until they come crawling back lol

Moved to Vodafone broadband, £24 Inc line rental compared to £44 at sky who wouldn't budge. Really pleased as the router seems better. Kept boxsets at 50% off so £19pm, but canning that at renewal too as Netflix/Amazon combination fine. Funny, if sky had just renewed all my discounts I wouldn't have bothered looking around...

i got £75 credit and BB&TV for £29 after cancelling my sky this year.
That was my incentive to come back.
I don't have movies or sport tho.

I’ve just renewed mine at 50% off with £25.00 account credit, after they initially tried to offer 30% with no credit. I never got a letter though and only have box sets, no sport or movies

My notice was put in just over a week ago after being on 75% £100 off.
Best offer 50% and trying again it's only 40%, I'm hoping for 60% and I'll go for it as I'm 17 years with them and can get skyq for free. I'm assuming once I'm out of contact, even a day I'll revert back to 0 years?

I got the great £16 offer last year at currys with sky q and boxset package with unlimited broadband best i can get them to is £42.50. Is that still a good deal?

No go on chat! Even had to upload a picture of the leaflet and they wouldn’t budge!

I chanced my arm with taking a photo of the leaflet but it didn't fool him and he wanted another with my name on it

They have offered me £68 with boxsets, sports and cinema. Broadband unlimited and line rental.

Currently paying £20 a month for Now Tv Sports until Christmas when it reverts back to £34 a month. another £5 a month for Entertainment pass. Would grab Now Tv Cinema but quality not good enough for Movie watching personally so also pay for Cinema Paradiso disc rental. So thought i'd see if I could get the full Sky Pack for the old 60/70% off via live chat. Best I could do was 40% off and £25 credit on account. Also was told that if that offer wasn't accepted then it would drop down to 35% afterwards.

I'll stick to Now tv and Cinema Paradiso then. At least I'll get the movies through quicker than with sky Cinema too I guess.

I cancelled Sky recently as all they were offering was a poxy 30% off the TV package. So I went for Virgin's VIP package (£70 a month for 12 months after £250 via topcashback). The engineer came round earlier today wanting to dig up my brand new driveway to install a cable for the fibre broadband - not gonna happen. So I cancelled my Virgin contract before it even started!
Has anyone else had a similar experience with fibre broadband?

That’s how they normally go through but we had new path and grass so they installed and pinned to the gardenwall

Cancelled mine this week. Last year I took up the deal offered but it was like pulling teeth. This time they didn’t seem bothered about business. I’d wait a bit because Christmas is just round the corner and it’s the busiest time for them. If it’s not busy for them they panic because they go to the city with the figures. Last year I got £150 credit on my account and everything for £20 a month.
