It's always this price. For £10 it's okay but buying secondhand brio/elc stuff from eBay is a much better investment. This is cheap and nasty.

What do you mean by it's always this price?

I don't remember ever seeing this in Morrisons before, and the photo suggests its a special too.

I don't think the OP was suggesting you buy this for an investment. You should have bought some Post Office shares if you wanted an investment

Picked up one of these sets at our local Morrisons.
We have already bought a much bigger set from John Lewis about a month ago but for this price it is a bargain just for the extra track.
It's a birthday present for the little one so can't comment on the quality yet.

Usually £12 in Tesco, but I managed to pick them up for £3 few weeks ago on rtc

These have been on sale at this price in Morrisons for the last month or more. Plenty more £10 toys also in store, play kitchens / car transporter play sets / robots / barbie dress up outfits and more.

I bought this set as an addition to a Brio set we already have as it looked compatible. However after getting it home it did fit the peices of brio but the set is so poorly made the set pieces don't even fit together themselves. Have been to Tesco and bought their similar set for £12 and it's well worth the extra £2, can hardly tell the difference between that and the Brio.

Well, this was a gift to my son and after two days the connection bodily things have come away! IT IS NOT SAFE in my opinion, easily a choking hazard and should be taken off the shelves! It is now in the bin where it belongs. Ill stick to Brio or Thomas.

Welcome mummy30

I am sorry you have experienced problems with the item you have purchased. I see you are recommending the item is recalled. Well thowing the item in the bin won't achieve that.

I suggest you retrieve it from the bin quickly and contact your local trading standards office with your concerns.
2.5 months after this item was on sale I must say I am surprised no other has posted issues with this product in the meantime.

Our son was given one of these sets by relatives for Xmas. I think they paid £10 for it at the time, although we noticed that a couple of weeks after they bought it, our local Morrisons had reduced the price to a fiver.
We found that the pieces were very poorly made, and some would not fit together, or had to be forced. The pegs that make the joints are badly glued in with gobs of glue pooled around them. Some of the slots the pegs fit into are incorrectly routed. Some pieces have rough edges and splinters.
We have an old (2nd hand) set that may be Brio (much better made) and the new set just about fits to it.
I was considering taking a file to the Morrisons pieces to make them fit better, but now I'm wondering if it would be better to take them back to the shop.
