How did you get the macbook for £601?

student discount mate

on the online education store it brings it down to 659 with the educational discount, but if you go into a store with a matric card it brings it down further to 601, well it did with my strathclyde university matric card, not sure if apple has deals with specific universities though,

you can also get this further discount by using a university computer and going to another education store within the actual apple education store online,

seems confusing but its right enough lol

Can you explain what you did mate...I am thinkign to buy one...But i don't understand what you mean by going into a store...is it like you went to a computer store...or an online store...

Think he means into an apple store, but you can also log into the higher education site from uni computers.

sorry its a bit confusing,

i bought mine in person at the buchanan street store in glasgow,
my matric card allowed me to get it for 601

if you buy online....

go to the apple education store link( which can be accessed from the apple uk store) and if you are at a university campus computer you can click the select university link, (if you are just at home you will not get access to this link and it will say access forbidden)

if you are at a campus computer and follow this link you will get the price for a macbook coming in at 601

i think its a 14% discount using your matric card in person or following that link on a uni campus computer,

whereas its only an 8% discount if you use the education store online at home ( think its £659 this way)

what's a matric card please?

thanks
