Hot- 2% cashback on quidco

Awesome deal, £1100 @ Currys, Argos etc.

Wow! That's cheap :-) heat added

John Lewis price match?

Hot!!!

You could buy the Benq W1070 projector (full HD 3D very positive reviews) for a massive screen size & still have cash spare.

John Lewis price match?

JL have special price match conditions now and one of them is that the competitor has to be within 8 miles of a JL branch - which this lot aren't.

What's wrong with it...?
Any better alternatives with not too much price difference...?

People with small ones say things like that.

That Benq projector is soooo tempting. 200" wow imagine playing Halo 4 on that!!! Its a shame its not 3D. Can you get 3D projectors?

Plasma. Interference machine!!.

Yeah I hate mine...s5-s8 of QRM on FM but not really a issue on SSB.
Still has a great picture and keeps the room warm:D
Great deal though if your not a sad radio op.

You CAN get 3d projectors for a similar price, i have optoma hd33 myself, and its brilliant, i use it for watching 3d movies from my laptop, and playing full hd games through my ps3. I have a 80" projector screen in my room (purchased used for £30 on ebay) and another 100" downstairs. To alternate between the two, i havent mounted the projector but rather used a portable stool i converted to suit the projectors needs.
I highly recommend if you plan on buying a tv bigger than 46" you might aswell invest into a full HD full 3D projector instead (and with full integration offered by a lot of companies) it will still cost almost the same as a whole. when compared to a decent full hd 3d tv.
The link to an article regarding screen resolution to distance may give you a better insight to where i am coming from....

I just can't get over the fact that the blackest black you'll see with a projector is the white of the screen. Silly I know, but that's just how I see it.

Depends on how big your room is.

I prefer plasma's. (Don't care about 3D at all).

If you are going to spend this much on a tv then you shouldn't be using a wifi dongle.

ordered the 50 inch sammy from these people the other day, then got an email saying out of stock and they will be in touch about an alternative. just waiting to see if they do the decent thing and offer me a tv of the same spec at their cost, or try and palm me off with something cheap and nasty...

its too easy to take peoples money and keep it for few weeks these days, heres hoping.

The W1070 is 3D & just new on the market.

Was going to go for this on interest free on 26th December but realised the Acetrax movie offer had just expired on the 24th! Damn, missed it. Plus the fact that they put up the price to £919, it put me off. Hope it comes on offer again under £900 with some sort of movie offer (I would have got £20 knocked off by joining Which? plus another £20 quidco and the £50 Acetrax bringing it to grand total of £819 dilivered. What a bargain!)

Nice but too big for me. I have a 50" at the moment and that dominates the room already.
