4 pint milk carton filled with water and left at room temp overnight does the job and doesn't cause the inside to mist up.
Downside forgetting to take in and refill or over half doing the same and nicking yours.
Deal not for me so not voted either way.

Downside is forgetting to empty the milk out first!

Although good luck find a 4 pint milk carton filled with room temp water in your work car park at 5pm in winter when its frozen. Prestone make decent stuff and this will do if in a pinch!

Are we supposed to be impressed by the "works down to -40"? We often get up to those temperatures on summer nights.
Heat added as I'm with Graham - Prestone so make a quality product.

Been that for a while.

Is that -40C or -40F?

Aerosol de-icer works down to -36°C.

all it says on the front of the can is "works down to 40c",if it is half as good as the ultimate speed windscreen additive (Lidl)which was advertised at -60c I will be more than happy

Both the same.....only point where they match

Should be noted that this can also be ordered online for C+C

My windscreen is at 56° - with this still work?

After an attempt to use a crappy asda de-icer a few weeks ago I now fill a hot water flask with very warm water and by the time I've finished my night shift it's just the perfect temperature to clear my car windows without the worry of a rapid temperature change cracking them.
But I'm still going to get a can of this for the unexpected frosty nights.

If it's minus 40 outside, I ain't going outside!

Graham I knew someone would make 'milk' point so went back to add the 'water' but u let me down. lol

5pm - I have the trigger type in the van for that but do a have a stock of the halford freebies from O2 sat in the garage.

get a car with a heated windscreen - brilliant.

Or just get the chauffeur to get out a few minutes early.

Water or gloved hand and old credit card do the trick.
