If, like Patsy Stone, you’ve always dreamt of welcoming someone into your “gracious living room” even though you live in a bedsit above Oddbins (or equivalent) then you too can experience the absolutely fabulous life with a three course meal and a night’s accommodation, including full breakfast, at the exclusive Old Post Office Hotel. With an elaborate feast extensive enough to satisfy Eddy's bottomless stomach and delicious enough to whet Patsy's notoriously meagre appetite, a stay at this most charming of hotels is the Lacroix of deals, darling.

Located in the picturesque village of St Fagans, just 4 miles from the centre of Cardiff, The Old Post Office is a great base for visiting the Welsh capital and south coast. Set with the old village post office and police station, this listed building has many a story to tell. As a thoroughly modern boutique hotel, however, the Post Office is in no way tied up in the past. Clean lines and clutter free interiors reign supreme and all rooms come complete with tea and coffee making facilities, a TV and DVD player, telephone and free wi-fi connection.

Eating at The Old Post Office is a very elaborate affair if you ask us. Starters include grilled asparagus with poached duck egg. For main course, you can’t go wrong with the slate of Welsh lamb, roast chump, lamb croquette with onion cream and ragout of summer vegetables. The dessert menu includes a range of sweet delights. In the morning the hearty breakfast will set you in good stead for the rest of the day, whether a light breakfast buffet, smoked haddock, kippers or the full Welsh breakfast. Between character laden décor and delicious seasonal cuisine there’s so much on the cards here at The Old Post Office Hotel - you'll feel like Groupon's dealt you a royal flush.

What other people are saying…

"We had a fabulous meal with plenty of wine which was very reasonably priced. The rooms are quite modern and a good size. The full welsh breakfast was excellent quality and there was plenty of choice. We would definitely stay again."

Looks like a good deal to me. Can't understand the -ve response....

Apparently because its his company - self promotion. I had no idea til someone told me yesterday though, so who knows? Certainly something is getting people riled up, I thought it was just nobheads moaning because it wasn't near them. No way of knowing though.

But that's £55 each, this deal is £65 for 2 people. Granted, it's not at St. David's hotel but some people might prefer not to stay in the City Centre
