Amazing Value Just £1 a slab!

well the photos of the actual product look less impressive but still very cheap
Can't knock the price but the rust will be a nightmare
I could see an argument for saying free delivery within a certain distance but seems a bit odd to exclude Wales. Not making a big deal about it but makes me less inclined to use the company. I'll wait for the next B&Q sale at the same price.
Wife's Xmas present sorted!
Well one of them, I'll get something as an extra...............................

...............................like a ton of sand!.
Price great, but the rust spots will ruin the look of a patio. Indian sandstone slabs can be had on Ebay for £1.25 each if memory serves...
Ordered 3 pallets for a patio & shed base on a budget. Cheaper than I was looking at for 2nd hand slabs on eBay and I don't have to worry about lifting/collecting them!

Cheers
Rusty paving slabs?

Rusty paving slabs?

Someone must have dropped some iron filings into the mixer while they were being made.
Perfect slabs for out of sight areas such as under sheds and side paths. A patio will just look cheap with these.
very good price

Not so sure about the shed base - I'd want 50mm rather than 32mm. These are too thin.

if you really love her, get her a shovel and barrow
Now these are flags that looked okay when we bought them but seems were contaminated during the manufacture...took 8 weeks to get to this state.

That looks like efflorescence which is basically natural salt leaching out of the cement, you see it on new build houses, it should go after 6-12 months as this is how long it takes cement to cure fully, it is very common in the garden landscaping and block paving industry.

We thought so at first but after testing it was a contamination from the freeing agent used to release the slabs after they had set. The manufacturer paid for them to be removed and replaced with better quality slabs...over £2000 of work so we were well pleased with the company. Don't look at the lighter parts as that was the original colour...look at the darker parts, that's the contamination.

Top tip. use a good brick/patio sealer as soon as you have pointed them, it will help seal the colour in.

If efflorescence occurs it will seal that it too so I'd always wait 6-12 months.
Thanks for the pointers. Always educational on HUKD.
Link not working. I think they're OOS?
put something similar down to these 25 years ago.

Couldn't be bothered to rip them up to replace so I mixed up some sand/Buff Dye/water, brushed in with a stiff brush and sealed.

A huge improvement.
shame no grey limestone , my search continues

Cracking job there was it a home job or did you get someone in?
Does anybody happen to have had these delivered yet? Just curious to know how they arrive (one large, indivisible pack?) and how flexible the delivery drivers are in putting them somewhere that doesn't block the entrance.
these are back in stock, I cannot re post as last time I posted a deal for this company I got suspended for self promotion. I do not work for these but use them a lot as I work in garden landscaping but I never got a response to this when I questioned why i was suspended.

I've had to delay my delivery (was due Friday but now next week as I'm away). Had a couple of conversations with the company who are very helpful, the lady told me they come on a pallet 1200x960 on a tail lift truck. She said the driver will try to put in my front garden if possible as long as he doesn't have to pull the pallets over gravel or grass. If he's unable to put in front garden, will put on kerb/road as long as its not on or immediately near a bend and cars/people can pass.

Normally OH does it but this time it was eldest son.....
Received mine, delivery driver left them in the parking bay opposite my house. Out of the 3 pallets I ordered id say about half of a pallet (in total) show the contamination and about half of those are on the underside. Can't complain that only a 1/4 of a pallet out of the 3 will actually show any of the (minimal dots) of contamination.

Very impressed.
How can I kill the weed grass if u cut it it grows back
only just having these layed after storing them on pallets in the garden for 7 month's but the bloke I have laying them is cursing me. He says (and has pointed out to me about a hundred times) that they vary slightly in thickness and size, and some don't run square with lips on the edges where I presume that the concrete has overspill in the moulds.

He does say though that I've paid less that half the price he can get them for delivered.
