Not for everyone as not many will need this much RAM, but if you do this seems like quite the bargain. Decent manufacturer, decent speed, good seller. AFAIK this is the most that many motherboards can take. Note that it's DDR4 (not DDR3), so this is for newer systems.

This seems to be £400 or so anywhere else. Available in red or black (if you care), just no good if you're in a hurry as its not in stock at the moment.

hopefully we will see 16gb ddr4 sticks come down in price this year.

AE, photoshop and 3d apps (especially fluid dynamics need RAM!)
Plus these are 3.3ghz sticks so they are making full use of ddr4 !!!

This is pretty much all the kind of software I use, thus my interest.
caching fluid dynaics eats hdd space too .. bye bye a few hundred gbs :P

It's fine to stay, both are different item numbers / colours and the old thread didn't mention the red variation

For me there's no discussion, at work I run a macro that uses up 40gb+ at it's peak over the course of 2 hours. The increased capacity in consumer desktops is great for when a server is just overkill and expensive.
price seems to gone back up to £423. £578 for the black! o.0

Yep, not apparent in the title, so it was fine
My colleague just got these delivered
wow, up to £535 now. still crossing my fingers for mine. I've heard nothing from Amazon yet.
I got mine through today. Now just need to wait for Intel to move their butts and release Broadwell-E so that I can actually use it.
Yeah me too. I just need to upgrade to Win10, Win7 home only supports 16Gb o.0
After killing my PC's ability to boot for a couple of days I finally got Win10 on there and it's working great now - phew!
£876 now, Jesus
