The one from wiggle is 10p more and less capacity, this one is 650ml and is 10p cheaper, seems a bargain.

Thank again to LLYWMOG, for pointing this out, the one currently in the hot section is only 500ml and 4.99 this is 650ml and 10p cheaper.

But gutted I bought the other one, but will give it a go, and if its good, will buy this as well

Cool, ordered, thanks

Thanks, cancelled the ones from Wiggle and ordered from here. Have some heat!!

Are these worth the money and any good for kids at all please?

Hot! Thanks

out of stock

Hot from me, thanks!

Red colour is out of stock, but blue is not

Maybe Im being stupid but why is this better than an ordinary water bottle

Thats a completely different bottle from the Wiggle offer.

Ones RRP is much higher than the other................ dont ask me why, never seen them in the flesh.

They do have the same bottle as the Wiggle one (Camelbak "Better") @ Cycle Surgery but its £9.09. cyclesurgery.com/cam…759

Seems to me the Wiggle offer is the better of the 2 (even if you are getting an extra 150ml).

I bought 2 on Wiggle for kids (due to colours, as I have a boy and a girl). And bought a bigger one for me, wanted red but got blue. I saw it in flesh, somebody had it at work. Been searching for them, this price is good, considering it is delivered. The rest is up to you, whatever is your priority or need.

It gives you special powers

Hopefully the slightly increased capacity will stop stupid people from feeling the need to carry huge pointless amounts of water around on their back, that generally ends up doing them more harm than good?

Blue one is still available. I've just ordered one.

Bizarre; it keeps coming in and out of stock.

Are these any good?
I usually drink loads of water an hour or so, and pee, before heading out on a distance bike ride and take one of these Wiggle 800ml bottles with me. I find if you're well hydrated before setting off you tend to need less in the saddle, just replace lost and freshen mouth, recommend these bottles.

Voted hot for price, but it's a shame they don't do the bpa free ones.

Ordered Blue Thanks !

I have a couple of these and I'm afraid to say they're not great. The main advantage over a regular water bottle is that it's got an internal straw which means you don't have to tip it up. However, I think it airlocks a lot or something, I struggle to get liquid out of it sometimes.

It's also not very easy to clean. Not just the straw, but the valve system is sealed and the bite valve has all sorts of internal ridges that trap bacteria and dirt.

YMMV but I think I'm probably better off with a regular water bottle and taking my eyes off the road for a few seconds.

what he ^ said.
i've tried all sorts of special bottles including camelbak's insulated one and always seem to end up going to back to a basic bottle i got free with an order from.. Stiff i think it was.

The difference is this is an older bottle that camelbak have been seeling for some time and the other bottle from wiggle is the newer bottle made by camelbak hence the name "camelbak better bottle" the bottle shape was changed to allow it to fit larger variety of cup holders etc.

Just ordered a red one. hot thanks!

Clas Olson sell some very similar to the camel backs- I got a couple and they were very cheap.

I use the Camelbak better bottle - because of the design with a straw you don't have to tilt your head back which is especially useful while running/on treadmill. If you take out the straw you can use it lying down in bed without spilling any. The plastic is thicker than the performance and the bite valve folds down. I clean the bite valve with cotton wool buds.
£9.09 at Cycle Surgery or £8.99 at evanscycles.com/pro…bak bottle

Thanks Zoobenny!

I think I'm keeping my Camelbak better from Wiggle. Sound like is better design then Camelbak performance even has 150ml less

I carry three litres of water in my pack. Is that stupid? The original question is asking why this is better than ie a normal bottle ie one litre lucozade blue bottle often cheaper than this.

Clean it the same way you should clean any bottle, use Milton tabs or liquid.
