Bit of info in reply to a Mate 20 Pro question in the thread...

I have the Huawei mate pro 20 and I was wondering in terms of specs etc are both on par or is the s10 better and why?

Very good ? Sophia and one that a lot of buyers of the S10+ may well be asking themselves...

Performance wise, the S10+ nabs it, but the Mate Pro 20, has a few things up its sleeves, including the nifty NM memory card slot, that may still surpass the S10+

The camera res on the Mate20Pro and the way it takes photos, with over double the size mpx, in the real world, is pretty amazing and again, depends what each individual buyer, will be wanting the new S10+ to do, over the S10+ phone.

Samsung S10+

Even though the S10+ is crazy money, compared to say the Mi Mix 2s, which is still the best flagship of 2019 for the money, it has some things, that some may want, I particularly uses dual VoLTE FS all the time, all day, with the abundance of 100gb+ monthly sim card offers, a lot of people would just completely dump their home fibre internet lines / virgin media fibre and use one VoLTE line for the whole house with a decent MU-MIMO ACx router (no need for any boosters or extenders etc etc) and the other for normal stuff!

Are you thinking of cross grading to the S10+ or will you keep both?

The only other thing that really, really appeals about the SD855 variant, is the Qualcomm True Wireless Stereo Plus chip in it, I had a demo of one, with the new Mavin earbuds, blown away, would be an understatement, it was like listening to real life audio all over again, the S10+ (855) has no less than 4 audio/dac mSOC transistors on it, the range eg: how far I walked away, with it firing true 1bit Flac, over the distance, was just unreal... gone are the days of people comparing £5000 3.5" earphone reference earphones to £250 wireless earbuds!! (I did listen to the same tracks, same Hi-Res audio, via the Samsung Galaxy Buds and it was rubbish, the distance was rubbish and my $20 Bluetooth 5 TWS earbuds, went further!!!

I know you take a chance with the direct imports from China and anything above a couple of hundred would require deep pockets to just write off - this seems potentially worth a punt if you have a decent EU warranty?

The warranty basically covers nothing, you can send them the faulty product and expect nothing in return they can just list any of the 20 or so conditions from 'what's not included under warranty' and that's the end of that. Also, if u still want to take that risk, shipping the product to them is all paid by you and is your responsibility if anything (else) happens to it (e.g got lost on the way etc)

That ^ is your only recourse to have it repaired only because these phones are non-eu, so no official uk store (or eu for that matter) will repair it due to that. Unless you find some local store that happens to specialise in chinese phone repairs then by all means go for it.

Imo this site should never be shared or promoted on this site seeing how popular hukd it is, yet the mods seem to give absolute zero sh*ts about it.

I pre ordered the white S10+. I do the upgrade program so my S9 goes back and I get that one for just £3 more a month.
Or get the S10 at the same place for £679
Avoid Global ... no warranty, nothing, faulty items or after few months. There is a reason why they chip

Voted hot for dual sim model. Wish there was more competition for UK High Street prices. Samsung has 8nm Exynos chip model for sale in Europe and Asia which is not as good as 7nm Snapdragon 855 chip used in USA. Snapdragon 855 is ahead of Exynos 9820 in performance and power consumption as Samsung fabs are yet to start making 7nm chips like TSMC which makes Apple A12, Kirin 980 and also Snapdragon 855 on 7nm.

Directly with Samsung. Have a look.
It's 24 months interest free just for the phone, but every 12 months you're entitled to increase the contract for the next flagship if the price increases, or keep it around the same and it renews again for 24. Best to trade in a phone before starting the contract. Wish I gave my S3 mini to them, they were offering £150.

Or can keep the phone and pay it off for another 12. If you upgrade then your old phone goes back (needs to be pretty much perfect condition except general wear and tear).

I'm not sure how it works if you want a lower priced phone, don't think you can decrease it.

SD 855 is not exclusively for USA. Hong Kong and I believe Korea also have the SD 855. With the HK models you should be able to unlock the bootloader, but that's another topic.
doubt u get the buds or can do a trade in tho. which id suspect for most people is better (odds are you can sell those buds for about £100)

also no warranty

just watch TCB for the 10% off hoipfully they do 1 more round (they did it twice alredy) and buy off samsung

I agree it's a slight risk, have had 4 off them and luckily all been fine. However, why would I need a repair that specialises in Chinese phones. It's a Samsung, which many independent repairers would be familiar with.
You'd need a head examination spending nearly £800 for something that may not even turn up, be faulty with no returns and no warranty. £400 and I might roll the dice for one these Chinese jobs, but not at this price. This is neither a hot, nor a UK deal. Have some ice from me.

They have very bad reviews on trust pilot. But using credit card or PayPal would protect you if it doesn't show up. Unfortunately it would be a loss of time but at least you are protected. Main consern is warranty. There are many different stories about eglobal regarding this from people
Bit of a grey area.

what's with people like you and the hate for eglobal? this is a Samsung not an offbrand Chinese phone...and I'm pretty sure it's the same model as the UK one..

it's the sellers responsibility to get the item to you so if it doesn't turn up you get your money back... that's the law...

p.s. my friend bought the s9 last year from eglobal and has had no problems at all

Eglobal is not included in this list, regardless of this, can anyone confirm if we can still claim for the galaxy earbuds?

The SnapDragon is cheaper on this site than the Exynos chip? As a UK customer, should I pay extra for the Exynos chip or does it not matter.
Many thanks.

You can't change product lines on the UK upgrade program.
I use it for my daily driver note. Buy and sell my dickking about phones.
For the Note 9 I payed exactly the same as the previous years note 8.
