Hey. Errrm would 'someone' look stupid with this kinda helmet on a scooter? Looking for a new helmet, not sure about this or a more traditional open face helmet.

I think this helmet is intended for use in BMX riding, not for scooters.

yep def for bicycles mate

Alrighty thanks, thought it was a bit ott. Got my eye on a nice retro helmet now

A little bit of orange plastic and you've got a Master Chief halloween costume right there...

Was gonna make a HALO reference but, you beat me to it LOL!

Even tho it's for bicycle riding, I think it'd still protect better than 'retro' helmet, especailly the chin area.
FMX/MX riders use very similar stuff...

perfect for my next EDL demo

most of these helmets are also used for motocross so would be ok for road use they do vary but my full face helmet has a sticker on it saying it meets british motorcycling association standards.

And these are well worth the money one saved my wifes lovely face when she was knocked off by a car and landed face first she came away with a 1 inch cut on her chin with a normal cycle helmet she would have lost most of her teeth.

great helmet!! hubby needs a new one for his downhill biking!! Thanks!!

Yeah as said before the intended use for this is MTB or BMX. It would NOT be legal to use on the road as wouldnt comply with the regulations for motorcyle helmets.

As for the style. A lot of people do ride around on mopeds with these helmets on. Some because they want to look "cool". Also because they may own a motocross bike and find it stupid/cant afford, to own 2 helmets.

Hot deal. I recently bought a 661 full face for downhill riding. paid about 65 quid for it with discount. Great helmet. Id be getting this if i hadnt the other. HOT!

I bought one of these 4 or 5 months ago for £50 in race black trim. Great helmet and reasonably lightweight for a full face. Only really beaten by the troy lee carbon series and they're £130+

These are not suitable for motorbike use. It states this inside the helmet.

hmmmm....I'm currently hunting for a mountain bike (my first in about 15yrs)...favouring the Cube LTD Race and Cube Reaction Elixir R as they're beaut bikes.

Of course I'll also be having to splash out on loads of kit for it, helmet included.

I plan to initially mostly ride trails, old railway tracks, and occasional trip to Hamsterley Forest......doing nothing like jumps etc....just to get the weight off initially and then maybe take it further.

you think I'd look silly riding around with one of them on when I'm not pointing down a steep mountain point or high up in the air about to crash land? Wonder if prob best for my uses to get one of the regular helmet types? Haven't looked that much at helmets yet but Chainreactioncycles always give v good deals.

Checkout the sale bikes on chainreactioncycles, evans cycles and bikes4u. Quite a few crackers on sale. And Bike radar offers some excellent advice and reviews.

Cant use this on road legal motorbikes as it does not have the BS Gold sticker on it
