Good price, would be tempted if it also had dab radio

Any Halfords codes around?

That's pretty much what every unit does this days. What I would really like to see is rear USB.
Hot, but I'll keep my current 6400BT

no cd player. COLDDDD!

no AptX? yeah, maybe I expect too much!

Of course there's no CD player, that's why it says 'drive-less' in the pigging title.

I suppose you go and vote cold on soft drink deals because there's no booze in them?

Jesus wept.

is there a double din anywhere?

I believe he was being sarcastic...

Great stereo for the price. Bluetooth for music and handsfree calling works great. Ipods and usb sticks connect and play well, only small niggle is the volume knob feels a bit flimsy or less well built than on other Alpine stereos.

Just fitted mine now , only bought for the usb for my ipod really (thru iTrip before), was not expecting sound to be better than my old unit...... but was blown away by the sound quality......

As an aside I was chatting to the guy in halfords whilst his mate went to fetch the unit , he was telling me that hes into hi end car audio, gos to shows etc......and that he really rated Alpine ......... matey comes back and scans it ....£69.... how much !!! first bloke exclaimed..... with bluetooth !!!!! he honestly could not believe the price.......

Where's the mic on this for bluetooth calling, on the unit itself? Can't imagine it's terribly clear being so far away from your mouth, particularly if you have an older / noisier car... can anyone comment that owns this please?

Never mind. Bought it today. It comes with an external mic, which plugs into the back if the unit.

Perfect for using Siri or Google Now to call people on the move. No fiddling with buttons!

Only problem I'm having is Bluetooth doesn't seem to pair automatically but other than that it's fantastic.

Realized the problem when the head unit didn't power off when I removed the key. The two power cables were the wrong way round on my polo.

Swapped the red and yellow wires over, and all fine. Now remembers the bluetooth pairing
