For some people, £41 might be a huge amount of money to budget for, especially at Christmas. If this deal enables them to buy a tree, decorations and lights to cheer up their living room and make the kids happy at Christmas, it's a steal at this price.

Stop being brand snobs and consider the financial reality for others and the actual purpose of this site. Just wow!

There's that Christmas spirit!

i still think you're failing to grasp the concept of this site. you vote on whether the deal is hot or not. if its not, then you should provide what you feel is a better value deal. Not by saying a £20 tree (which may be a lot of money to some people) is "junk" and then comparing it to a site where something similar starts at £100. apple meet orange, orange meet apple.

Junk.Get a Balsam Hill if you want something that'll last you forever.

sure, i'll just head over to Balsam Hill and buy a 6ft tree for £20. oh no i wont because the cheapest tree is 4ft and looks like a stick man, oh and its £69.

vote for this deal, or provide a better value deal.

What's the usual price ?

Given the deal is "save £10", add on £10 to the combo and that's probably the usual price.

Junk.

Hmmm can I give a Christmas tree as a gift? Here’s some heat anyway

You joined in 2015 and have posted 0 deals.I'd suggest you research the term "value" it would appear you understand this to mean "cheap". Anybody with a sound knowledge of English would appreciate there's a very obvious and distinct difference.A good quality tree, like those you'll find on Balsam Hill will last you quite literally a lifetime, but let's say 20 years. Over that length of time you'll have bought X amount of crappy tree's, contributed to God knows how much landfill and still have a crap tree at the end of it all. Now, go find a deal and post one. A host can only maintain so many leeches.

you are right, 5 deals are significantly higher than 0...

its still not a bad deal for a value/cheap/<insert poor peasant tree term>. yes the balsam hill trees are of better quality, but are they £20? no.

That's 5 active deals posted <2 months ago. 62 total deals is indeed a fair contribution to a community developed site.

Nobody said the Balsam Hill tree's were cheaper, I simply stated they are of better value if you divide years service / initial investment.

A cheap artificial tree looks like a cheap artificial tree. If that's the look you're after it's probably a good deal.

Buy cheap, buy twice.

aye i know, but its hotukdeals.com, not hotukdealsbasedona5yearROI.com.

"A cheap artificial tree looks like a cheap artificial tree. If that's the look you're after it's probably a good deal."

this is exactly what it is; a good deal on what could very well be a cheap looking artificial tree. but that could be what people can afford/want.

I'm not trying to be a turd, but it can be frustrating when people vote deals cold (not saying you voted it cold) and don't provide a better value deal to justify their opinion.

Not even a real one.

I thought this site was called "Hot UK Deals", this is a deal surely, yes its cheap and maybe not the best value, but a deal all the same, so wind your necks in and support your fellow deal finders for all benefit and sanity

Deal isn't that great, only knocks £10 off the currently overpriced lights anyway!

Heat from me thank you for posting, xxxxx Merry bl@@dy christmas to the rest of you miserable gits !

Not sure about this tree in particular but I really recommend the regency fir which is also in this offer,it’s lovely and definitely feels like it’ll last a long time. Lovely and full

Can anyone recommend a 7ft Pre lit Xmas tree?

I’ve had the Balsam Hill site open in my tabs list for over a week now, I just can’t bring myself to spend three to four hundred pounds on a Christmas tree, no matter how well built it is. And that’s apparently on sale

If they do a half price sale and lower the amount you have to spend to get £25 off etc I will consider it, as I’m sure many others will. But the current prices are insane

They're high-end, obviously quite an initial investment, but 300~ / 10 years (minimum) isn't a high cost in my opinion. I have been spending £60 on a real tree a year any way, given I need an 8ft tree.

I’m a bit worried about the lack of genuine video reviews on YouTube that aren’t uploaded directly to the Balsam Hill channel and the fact these trees aren’t sold on independent stores such as Amazon leaving no independent outlet for reviews outside of the Balsam Hill website.

The odd independent photo or video I have seen of these trees look nothing like all the marketing material and it’s a lot of money to spend without seeing what you’re buying first. I realise of course the tree will only look as good as the time spent arranging the branches but still... Not convinced.

Edit: If I do get one i’ll upload a review closer to Christmas and update this comment.

I own one. So far so good.

But can only offer my personal experience.
