Spotted these while shopping at Wickes. Do not seem to be in particularly bad shape, feel like they are just getting rid of old stock. Had around ten there, all with the £5 labels on them.

bet a few people are requiring these right now too!
Cheap panels are a false economy. Yes these are only £5, but they will get blown out again with the first breath of wind. The better quality 6mm panels cost a tiny amount more (than the normal price) and will stand the test of time.

Hot deal!
Can anyone confirm that this deal may be prevelant in any other Wicks around the country?
I hate changing these; it seems that our posts were put in during a short period when they changed to metric (1.8m) before going back. It means that I have to prise them apart and trim an inch or so off so that they fit in. Never fit together quite the same....

Good price but Probably not the best for me to strap these on the van roof and drive down the M4 this weekend...

wish they would come up with a better product for fencing as these panels look jaded very quickly and are prone not to stay straight and start leaning. then a storm will more than likely blow them over.
They don't look like they are pressure treated to me.

There are much better products, but you aren't going to find them in a DIY shed where the only factor is price. I just picked up the price list from the local timber merchant and they offer about 6 different qualities and the prices are not all that much higher than for the cheap poor quality ones.

can you get really heavy duty fence panels? i thought they were all the same until i read a comment in this thread that these ones are the cheaper quality ones.
Is this the kind of quality Persimmon would fit in new builds?
