Hot but only because it's not an ipad.

Decent price and it's a decent brand too unlike some of the deals you see at Aria.

Got 7.8 with this RAM on the Windows Experience Index Test on Windows 7. Considering it only goes up to 7.9, thought that was pretty good!

Ive 6gb of this ram in my pc at moment, been doing quite a bit of cs5 and lightroom 3 stuff lately so its come in as a timely upgrade

How much is this usually and will it fit my Asus P7P55-LX motherboard?

I already have 2x2GB memory sticks by Geil

apparently the warranty on this is 999months

will these fit in an ipad :P

a steal if you have x64 windows 7

Voted hot but this is 1.65v and not suitable for i7 Sandybrigde systems which use 1.5v dual channel.

Angel786

@angel768 As far as I know sandy bridge is fine with 1.65v. I'm running my corsair XMS ram at that on a asus p8p67. I'm sure you will be able to find a triple channel mobo too. Good find!

I sold mine of this a few weeks ago on ebay for £55, I bought for £67 a few months ago as I thought the old i7 stuff was going to become cheaper on sandbridge release.....I was wrong.

BTW if you want this for sandybridge, be aware that SB take Dual channel memory, which is why I sold this set.

4gb sticks are now costing less and should make more sense to use. Am I wrong? Games are getting ram ungry

Sandybridge is dual channel. I think there might be a triple channel version at the end of the year..Sandyballs or something

4GB is still the sweet spot for gaming, going to 6/8 will normally not gain you any benefits (for gaming).

Why not sell 1 of them...they work in single, dual, or triple channel (they sell in matches, but can be used independently in single/dual systems)

Well I have alot of processes running in the backgorund and have noticed in last few months, that the pc is not as snappy as it once was. I am running 64bit windows 7 ultimate so it should help with things.

ps what size MP camera are you using? months have gone by and i've still not got a pc that can do the Ps stuff i wanted...don't really know what i need. eg 18mp camera 10 layer detailed stacks.

Im using a 12MP Nikon D5000 DSLR 95% of pics taken in RAW. To be fair my system copes pretty well with multi layer stacks in CS5 and I guess the extra ram will slightly speed things up. But then again im running an I7 950 clocked at 3.8Ghz also a 60gb OCZ Vertex 2e SSD as boot + apps drive and my pics + other stuff are on a couple of 1TB samsung F3's, so overall is a fairly strong system.

OK Ta tbh my 'best' pc is a dual core @2GHz and its looked like it could make the stack (iirc cpu use was not high) but it would always abort due to memory shortage (CS4) I was pretty maxed out for a 32 bit system mem wise. For sure I'm going 64 bit with the next one.

Cheers.

Or any other 64-bit OS.

lol, I doubt this would help casual users like me who just use internet and word, etc?
