Wow. Dumb as f...

A while ago this year, I got £21, 20gb BT SIM with £100 Amazon gift card + £60 Quidco + Free BT Sport on mobile = £7.6/month and if I was BT BB then it will be just £2.6/ month ( tip: install window10 BT app on PC and connect hdmi cable to TV)

"With this ‘Free BT Sport on BT Mobile’ offer, you’ll be limited to watching on the BT Sport app on your smartphone only. You can’t watch BT Sport on larger screens (like a laptop or TV), and you can’t Chromecast / Airplay BT Sport content or watch it on the web player."

I am curious how they can stop you 'casting' from your mobile?

Wait until the month end (last week). It is a regular trend with BT rewards where the amount increases (usually £90)

Is this a 12 months or rolling contract?

I've just got this 6gig with 2 sims on the family sim deal for £19 for both. I'm waiting as today is the day they port my tele number over and need to swap card. 12 month deal with 30 day adjustment on plan your on. Didn't get the reward card but still saving £13 on old contract with O2 a month.

The BT sport is forever yes? Not a trial period or anything? The website didn't suggest there was an expiry at least.

Casting is blocked as Chromecast pulls the video stream directly from BT servers. They limit these accounts to only access the streams from mobile devices.

They may also disable the cast button from the bt Sport app.

I think the amount usually goes down. At least it did when I got BT broadband

Bought broadband and 4 SIM only at different times (end of the month). Every time it worked out the cheapest option

What about phones or tabs that let you cast the screen or screen mirror? Any ideas if this works?

Been with virgin 8 yrs mate. Never a problem for me and I live in the sticks devon.
What's your point???

does bt have hotspots and teathering

Can you get quidco or tcb with this? If so how?

I get 5GB for £8 each (family SIM). I wouldn't recommend this if you are looking to get multiple SIMs.

Remember you can still get TCB /Quidco on this as well as the cashback. Just had mine come through for 3 months ago along with broadband aswell. They're just about paying me to use a BT sim

I'm on £5 per month on ee1gb data unlimited mins and text.

I don’t know as I have full access to the BT Sport app via my BT Sport subscription with BT Infinity.

I’d imagine at best you’ll get a blown up, pixilated, weirdly cropped phone image. Or the app will detect mirroring and block the image.

Can I ask how you managed to do this? When I click via TCB or QC the reward card message disappears from the BT site on checkout

Not being able to Cast would be a deal breaker for me. I would have snapped this up straight away

So you managed to get both TCB cashback as well as the BT reward card? Currently, if you select the 6-12GB deal on TCB, it takes you to a page where the BT reward card is not offered. The TCB cashback currently is £50. If those two stack, then this deal would be only £34.

I could browse to the deal with the reward card after clicking on the TCB link but I doubt it would track....

I’ve just claimed card last two years and got both.

Did you get the deal at the end of a month? Based on some comments, they might be offering better deals at the end of the month.

Ordered on 19th October, activated 24th and claimed 7th Nov. Amazon vouchers received 9th Dec.

Just realized that it was £12 + £90 Amazon / iTunes voucher. I'd said £11 (now edited). But that was a BT retention deal I have on my sons phone. That didn't include any vouchers, so not really that good.

Previous deals for the £12, 6gb BT SIM with £90 Amazon / iTunes vouchers were posted.

Thanks for the tip. Works a treat. I am still on the £15 for 20gb deal that I subscribed to over 12 months ago. At that time, including BT Reward and quidco, it worked out at £5 per month. Sadly it is still £15 per month but I cannot find a better deal.

If already with BT (mobile & BB) and at the end of my contract, could I port my number to another PAYG sim for a month and then return with cashback/gift card/BT customer £5 off deal?

Virgin media broadband are the best
