This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

This one-month rolling, pay-upfront deal from Smarty gives newbies 6GB data allowance for £7.50mth. It's a triple data offer so you usually only get 2GB. Under the offer, you'll get this data and price for 12 months, provided you sign up before Tue 7 Jan and select 'auto-renewal' at checkout.

If you use less than 2GB data in a month, you'll get £1.25 per GB back on your next bill – so use 1GB of data in a month and you'll only pay £6.25 the next month.

Cost:
£7.50/mth
Allowance: 6GB data, unlimited mins & texts
Network: Smarty (owned by and uses the Three network)
Who can get it: New Smarty customers

What pain? After 12 months are up, you start looking for another deal and switch over? Takes less than 10 minutes, unless you are happy with the network and the price, its always best to shop around and look for a better deal.

Wow, smarty are pushing out a lot of new deals all of a sudden. I'm surprised they did it all post black friday
£17 for 100gb aswell starting this afternoon
if i use only 1gb will I get 6.25 back?

No because you can't get money back on something that was free (the extra 4GB)
The most you could get back is £2.50 but you would have to use Zero data.

I joined the other month and got unlimited text minutes and unlimited data for £18.75 should have been £25.00 wonder if it will come back for the new year sales.

Seeing as Smarty uses the Three network, I don't know if you qualify to use their collaboration with Virgin media and their TFL tube stations' free WiFi (which, let's face it, plenty of delays so you've got time to download box sets whilst stood at a platform).
Anyone going for this might want to run that past them, see if Smart throw it in or not.
If not, just get a Three SIM sent to you for nada and insert as a secondary SIM and flip phone's mobile data to SIM 2 to allow WiFi sign-on to happen, then flick mobile data back to SIM number 1.

I'd have gone for this deal had I not already secured a rolling month contract with Plusnet which they matched to a limited time deal of unlimited minutes & SMS + 2GB of data for £5. Plusnet tend to be rather keen to upgrade existing customers that place a request to match new deals that offer more for the same amount.

Got this company for my mums large button mobile, she doesn't use any data so the £6.25 drops to £5 per month. There is no contract and she pays by recurring topup from her debit card. Signal coverage on Three who this company piggybacks on isn't the worst but not as good as my Talkmobile/Vodafone setup.

Your ma's mobile, is it a Doro or something else?
Is there anyway as an existing customer that I can get this deal

No harm in calling them. Seeing as it's a rolling 1 month contract, they'd be foolish to say no. Try it and let us know if you get the thumbs up.
Just pepper the conversation with plenty of FOMO as their customer.

I’ll try after work. I’m currently on the small package for my son which gives him 1GB for £6.25.

Simple answer? Yes. Call them up, explain, be friendly and explain that you'd rather not leave to get a better deal elsewhere when new customers can get this price and wait for them to offer it to you. If they don't, then give them a little nudge. I've had mine upgraded twice.
Spot on with the Doro phone, I looked at other phones but Smarty are 3g only so went with the Doro, I always take a £5 PAYG phone with lots of credit on holiday as a backup to my more expensive one if out on the beer.

Smarty does not piggyback on Three they are in fact the exact same company , just as Voxi and Vodafone are the same thing.
My mums one of those people who fret about everything, the idea of me taking her phone apart would have her in tears but thanks for the heads up on that sim, very useful for a back of the drawer phone we all have.
Very good company having been with them for almost a year now.

I have the unlimited pack and have never had any problems.

The chat function should hopefully soon change. It currently takes between a few hours to a day to talk to a representative using their online messaging option. I haven't had to go down this route though.
I’m in W London & Three’s coverage sucks (only use it for international roaming) my other phone is Virgin not much better to be honest being in the Burbs, otherwise hot.

Three's PAYG free SIM card has no expiry providing you call, text or use some data at least once every 6 months to keep active.

3p Minute / 2p Text / 1p MB

Their rates make having it as an emergency phone (which you can set up to auto-top up) for a setup and forget for 6 months solution.
Good for travelling as they've (currently) got roaming agreements in 71 countries.
Patchy UK coverage sometimes.

That would lead people to believe that the signal is identical, which it is not. I had a chat with someone in their cs dept about some dropouts and mentioned my Three sim and he told me that smarty don't have access to all of Three's masts-yuck was news to me.

Was that true? Or was he fobbing me off? Who knows!

I've tried a Smarty sim and a Three sim in my dual sim phone and they where both the same signal strength when both where on 3G.
I think some of Three's 4G coverage piggy-backs on O2 at 800MHz (B20?). I wonder if Smarty doesn't have access to this. Also, not al '4G' phones have access to this band. Might explain stories of poor coverage by some, but not others.

Good luck with that! There is no such thing. They only way to contact them is online. It sucks but they've improved over the 6 months over been with them

Yes, but it's not live chat as I'm used to. You go on, get connected, send a message and then wait. It was taking me nearly a week to get a reply when I first signed up. That's improved a lot but its still not instant

They will be changing it soon I'm being told.

I suspect that there will be a slight increase in the prices once this does happen
Thinking of switching my secondary mobile to this. Currently on Plusnet 6gb for £10.55

I guess that’s the downside to going to small budget companies. But it saves us a few bob. Can’t complain too much 😃
Currently I'm on Smarty unlimited data for £22 month.
Got to say coverage is horrendous can hardly connect online. I would say please check coverage before buying. I came from vodafone boy what a difference. Vodafone was excellent apart from their 5hite customer service

I use my smarty SIM as a second SIM and on the £6.25 tariff. Hardly use data (maybe send a few emails) so will save me some cash each month.

How do you change to this? I messaged Smarty but they replied I need to change it from the dash. Can't see anyway to do this?
