I'm willing to be proved wrong but I think the original Mini in 1959 also had a 6 volt electrical system...

It never was 259, has always been 129,with times going down to 99, so nothing new. Still a good price

6V is very slow and only for small children 2-4 age probably, not that cheap for the voltage.

we actually have one of these for our 2 1/2 year old and its quite fast for him and very strong (pushes things in front of it easily out of the way).

we bought it for £129.99 some months back. well worth it for this new price. very durable as well, way better than the one one we bought from eBay for slightly less.

thanks - paid the extra 20 quid for the '6V Mini Cooper Coupe in White and Red' (which says it can do 4km/h) and used the £5 off

you're correct about the child's age, but do you have kids? have seen the price of toys??

It's not slow at all, for a 3 year old is perfectly fine, decent battery life and loads of fun.

If the 9v is an issue, stick a 6v on there.
