Is your gym a franchise? I'd like to take up a 3 months free pass!

Not sure it's the same one but check out DC Leisure, they have about gyms in the East Mids and often offer 3 months free, free 'taster' classes and the price is £28/mo

Brace yourself for the heavy selling...
Terrible gyms and pushy staff.
check your local council's website for info on council gyms, I decided in the end the one here in York was not for me but gone off the other cheap gym I've joined shame I'm tied in for another 8 months!
Gr8 deal! Heat added!

It's bcoz when u get there, the staff push you, well you know, to sign up … It's bcoz when u get there, the staff push you, well you know, to sign up for the monthly membership, which will set you back more than £40 a month.Purely for that reason not many can even use the seven days pass completely.

Well I have had FREE days, weeks, even month Trials at many gyms - inc FF and I can honestly admit I never got any hassle from FF
I am currently looking to see what offers are out there, so may well give this a go.
What is not to like about FREE - and I was never pressurised when I went there on a free trial before.
Perhaps 'accidentally' put your phone number down wrong if you are really worried about it. Say one or 2 digits out, that way if they do mention it when you are actually at the gym, it can just be a case of you scribbled it down wrong.

The only time recently when a gym has 'chased me' is because I very stupidly mentioned a time scale, so a couple have phoned me at the end of that period to see if I had made a decision. But once I said no thanks, they have not contacted me again.
Think rules might have changed re them being able to chase people.

So far one at local leisure centre is looking most promising, and David LLoyd worst, coming in at over £70 a month !!!
Some people must be well recession-proofed !!
