Steal at that price.

Heat!
despite it's very long gaps between updates at this point in it's early access life, it still remains one of the best crafting survival games available.

This game is worth that price all life time long. Best survival games ever made
Scorching hot. Thank you!
I am playing this game right now! Almost 200 hours of gameplay. Much better mechanics than Rust (PvE primarily versus the horrors of PvP), and much nicer textures than Minecraft.
Just getting back into this after quite a while out, loads of new stuff added since I last played.

Love the looting and crafting, just like the real zombie apocalypse will be

Just bought the game, totally new, played through the 8 starter missions, is multiplayer on servers via a big community? Or is the game best played offline?

I died once and lost everything except my bed, I had built a base... Would I of lost my base too?
Just a quick heads up, this uses EasyAntiCheat, for anyone who is so inclined to avoid it (see Far Cry 5 controversy).

You can go back and pick items from your backpack. The compass shows a blue item of your last deaths backpack. previous ones do not show on the compass however it will be on the place you died.
Great game. I got it 5 days ago for a £7.99
Scary game. Getting used to all the elements.

Think I've only played online once so can't comment on that. I would recommend getting to know the game offline before jumping online, unless you can team up with a few friends.

As for losing stuff when you die, you can change that in the settings - drop backpack, tool belt or both. When you respawn after death you can visit your old backpack and retrieve your items.

When you have built a base, drop your bedroll into it somewhere inside, this will give you a marker on the map so you can relocate it and also stop zombies spawning inside.
The devs will probably never finish it and they keep trying to morph it into a FO4 clone or inject whatever the latest fad is (zip lines were the next big thing ala Dying Light / FC but keeping getting pushed back). That said for less than £6 it is great value and a hot deal provided you understand the lengthy alpha cycle patches will get you long before the Z's ever do

Played a tonne of this game online and really enjoyed it. Had a few experiences ruined by hackers, and due to the progressive nature of this game (where you build a base, and skills, and level up, etc), it can be a real kick in the teeth when a hacker destroys your base in literally a second. Most good servers have a good community and active admins who can support in rolling certain things back, however this is not always the case, so buyer beware!

Co-op is a tonne of fun also, and the actual PVP online is pretty good when you're experienced!

That's why you never play on unsecured servers without anti-cheat enabled, also stay on ones that auto-blacklist known cheaters from joining. I run my own server for that very reason, so never get any crap with 30 minute auto-backups on just in case they managed to sneak through. Got over 1000 hours logged and only had one instance of a troll/hacker in all that time. If you spend the time with mods the experience is even better, it's only crap when you play on noob servers where it's way too easy and you keep gear when you die... hardcore is the way to play.

I got quite pally with the admins on one server, however I found it created a bit of an atmosphere where there was the "cool kids club" and it became frowned upon to kill people in this club as we played on hardcore mode... I would actually recommend getting a mate to buy this also and just playing co-op on an online server with other players, but just not super integrating into the server community!

That's the case with most hardcore players, kill you for a tin of beans on some servers...lol as for cliques and gangs, it's perfectly legit way to play survival games. On my server, I play with my family, randoms can still join but if they break the rules in place, they get murdered in thier sleep
