I prefer it that way with organic vegetarian water.

and for maximum flavour, you should be using solar-powered electricity.

Thats a bit like saying someone who owns a chip fryer doesnt know how to fry chips properly!
or someone who owns a steamer doesnt know how to steam properly!

Its a gadget to make life easier... like a hoover instead of a dustpan and brush or a washing machine instead of a tub of water!

And cooked in a fair trade saucepan

This is eggs-actly what I was looking for!

I might have to shell out for one of those

I have one too. My wife prefers the microwave version, but I'm a techy (sorry!) and I like it. You can do other things like make coffee put the toast on and so on and not forget about the eggs in a pan coming out like a stone.
One word of warning - the timer dials are of poor quality so it is worth checking if you are sad as me about having one. You know what they say about putting all your eggs in one basket. (sorry again!)

Yeah, rice cookers just gimmicks... that's why you'll find one in just about every chinese/japanese household or restaurant kitchen...

I'm gonna get one - I'm so eggcited. And as for being lazy - are you yoking?
;-)

you kidding about rice cookers being gimmicks right?? almost every household in asia owns a rice cooker.. rice cookers is the de facto equipment for cooking rice in much of the far east and indian subcontinent..

Dont egg him on mate.

Is this a yoke?

Thats all yolks!

A lot of egg-centric comments on here :-D

Not everyone's circumstances allow them to have a hob, let alone running water.

These are extremely popular in hotel rooms for example.

What a CRACKing deal

If it wasn't for these gimmics this site would close.

To be eggsact, I do agree with you but not regarding a rice cooker. A rice cooker is another essential to add to the list
Fridge - my father thought food was better from the larder.
Microwave - 'roast the mouth off you' or give you food poisoning.
Dishwasher - tea tasted different.
Washing machine - destroyed the clothes

Not if you cook them the delia way, they come out perfect each time ;-)

Is this like the failed version on Dragon's Den?!

Got one of these last time round. Think they`re a great hassle free way to boil eggs. I would use mine a lot for a quick egg muffin in the mornings.

Wasnt this on dragons den? Im sure it all went wrong? And wasnt his the only one?
