Found 29th May
Thought this was a very good price for an All Inclusive in June and the hotel scores a very decent 4/5 on Trustpilot too.
At first glance, the Globales Cortijo Blanco looks like a traditional Andalucian villa. But dig deeper and you’ll find its pretty courtyards are spotted with pools, sun terraces and an al fresco bar.

A lot is packed into the courtyards and gardens of this hotel, including three main pools, an international buffet restaurant and an open-air entertainment stage.

Globales Cortijo Blanco has put down roots in a top spot – the beach is a 10-minute walk away and there’s a free shuttle bus to classy Puerto Banus.
*Close to the beach. 3 pools.Free shuttle to Puerto Banus.

We quite often play holiday roulette now as the savings are unbelievable. I was sick of booking in advance only to find TUI or Thomas Cook drop the price of the same holiday by hundreds of pounds. It's also a buzz not knowing where we will go.
Last May half term we ended up in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in a 5 star all inclusive for 360 each. When we got to Manchester the seats allocated were all dotted around the plane so they put us in premium as we had the children with us. I was smug sat by the pool sipping a g&t .

Great hotel though some do over indulge in the AI but 5 mins from Peurto Banus and 15 mins from Marbella on the very efficient and cheap buses. Here is the review i did for the hotel last year.

The flight from Gatwick took off at 3.40 pm UK time half an hour late and arrived at 7pm Spanish time. Coach arrived at the hotel after doing drops in Fuengerola and Marbella at 9.10 Pm Journey time from Malaga airport about 1hr 45 mins. Check in took about half an hour. Main dining room closes at 9pm but the snack bar opened at 9.30 so we were able to get Burgers Chips hot dogs rolls and cheeses.

The dining room is large enough to seat 300 people but at dinner you need to be in there before 7-15pm as you may find it difficult to get a seat. We found the food was varied with a good choice of salads mains with Pizza, Meat, Pasta and Fish options. There was also different types of Paella dishes or noodle stir fry’s served during our stay. Ok some of the food could be hotter but there is a microwave available at the end of the cake counter. The wine was drinkable but not great in the restaurant. If you are going on a trip then order a packed lunch at reception before 8pm the night before and then collect from the restaurant, it contains a bottle of water, bread rolls, butter , cheese, pate, biscuits and toast and fruit.

The main bar area is next to the stage and you can get most drinks as part of the AI package including a couple of cocktails. The Inside Bodega bar which also has an outside terrace is nice for a drink and is down the corridor opposite reception where you can escape the noise of the Mini Disco at 8.30 pm. Most of the evening entertainment is done by animation team who I think have been employed by Tui but there are a couple of outside acts brought in, a Buddy Holly Tribute singer was ok and the Overtones singing songs from the 60s.

There are now two pool areas the New pool which is larger than the old pool. There is now plenty of sunbeds and parosols in the new pool area a word of warning here they are not well secured and the slightest breeze can lift the pole and sunbrella out of its socket. It would be useful if the lifeguard checked all these assemblies each day to check if the lock in the base and pole can be secured. There is also a bar in the New pool area which is open from 11am to 4pm.

We wanted to do the Granada tour to The Alambra Palace which we tried to book on the day after we arrived (Sunday for the following Week) but it was fully booked. Also tried to book with Tui before we left but that proved fruitless. No ability to contact site rep directly or book tour before arrival. We did the Rhonda trip by train...

The above rationale is why I quit my job.
Gonna do bank and agency work for more flexibility.
Only minor issue is lack of guaranteed income.

Decent find but me off to Istanbul then.

Didn't think about the buzz of not knowing where you're going, cheers Mat! Although, now that I'm thinking, is impossible to convince my gf, she likes to plan things in advance you see

Amazing! How did you get it that cheaply? Do you turn up at the airport and wait for something?! We booked our honeymoon to Mexico a week in advance and got it for £550 each but £360 is just ridiculously good

^^^ it’s always the way though. I work two jobs and one is less formal with booking holidays than the other but because of the other one (which I work less days for!) I wouldn’t be able to go on a last minute holiday
I went to this hotel many moons ago, hopefully it has significantly improved since then. Food was appalling, clientele were typical Brits abroad. Thankfully we had a car so spent very little time at the hotel
Is that with the discount?

I saw that but it wouldn't book, so wondered if it was an error or sold out. Did it let you go through to book?
Code only works on a £850+ spend (I think) @sazzopardi1971
Great deal- all you late bookers do you ever get a late deal fro summer holidays- August if you book a week
before you go??

How do yours? Leave it to deals the day before or a bit earlier, maybe a week. Hoping to get away on 4th July.
I would start looking around 2 weeks to go. You may need to be flexible with departure dates, flight times, airports and destinations.
Would this late booking thing work with late August getaways?
Wait until a week from when you want to leave then pop into Tui shop and say right what deals have you got I can fly now!
I found the best prices for holidays (these did not suit me) to be 5-7 days in advance not the next day. Normally those were much more expensive. But this could be for online only and the searches i was doing.

History and culture no good to you then?
Of course. But safety and being treated with decency even more so

No not that gung ho haha. I'm up early for work (5am) so jump on Thomson/ Thomas cook sites, put in the date(s) we can go and filter by price. I was about to pull the trigger on Cyprus but scrolled a bit further down and saw Mexico. I thought it must be a mistake so carried on the booking and it went through. This was about 10 days before. I presume either a cancellation (So they have already been paid for the holiday) or they just wanted to fill the plane.

I was looking for this half term now and found TC to Cuba for a week. It started at 468 each and dropped over the next few days to 408 then they added a code for 150 off as well. Couldn't convince the other half to go as we have been to Cuba before and the food was diabolical. Glad we didn't now tho as the staycation weather is fab.

I've also noticed playing with the length can make a huge difference. In the March half term we went to Cyprus for 10 nights and paid a couple of hundred less than for the week.

Happy hunting!

Don't forget your compensation for the delay. Keep boarding card stubs and get a letter from tui once you land confirming delay.
Be prepared for a fight tho as tui owe millions in compo. I had to take them to the small claims as they fobbed me off time and again!

Start looking about 2 weeks before and search every day. Cancellations could be added at any time so keep searching, early morning seems to be the sweet time. If you see something you like and the price is right don't hesitate - I've kicked myself so many times. Happy holidays

Don't bother with in-store, online is best. You have to be proactive and search each day, morning, afternoon, evening. Have the tui site open on your phone and keep refreshing!
I did post some deals I found on here that we couldn't go on but they were removed by the mods for self promotion (I'm not tui or tc) I just love holidays

I would second that, I search man, Brum, east mids lpool and Leeds Bradford. The savings are always worthwhile even with diesel to get to airport and parking.

Was on to it even before we finally took of 9 hours late and they can't blame it on the weather as planes were taking off still and tui boarding said it was a closed runway in Greece that tui should of informed people about. Upon landing they handed us all forms with wrong times on them regarding delays and encourage everyone to talk to there insurance companies, morons hoping that no one without insurance will try get compensation. Clowns!
