No you have to drink alcohol at all times
Probably worth getting involved before the Maldives become Atlantis.

You wont get a sky room or beach bungalow, you wont have a jacuzzi, the marine life would not be the same, the beach would not be quiet and secluded, the atmosphere and customer service would be completely different.
Just a completely different experience

Can we ring them and possibly ask for 5 or 6 nights instead?

Maybe ring them and ask them

Coming up at £2892 for me £1446 x 2...
Unreal price, potentially a glitch. I have paid £120 per person per night and that was for hotel only, without flights and it was a bargain!

I was in Maldives in 2007. Was told at the time it wouldn't be there in 10yrs.
Sounds like a great deal. Just make sure you research costs for extra food, plus alcohol. Can be really expensive (especially 5*) in the Maldives. Plus usually a bit difficult to get to another bar/restaurant if you find too pricey

As an aside, I went to the Maldives a year ago today. Was bloody wonderful and I'd be summarily jealous of anyone taking advantage of this. Loved it.
Just looked at booking with 2adults and 2kids and it says the Sky room is not suitable and gives you a beach villa instead which doubles the price

Me and the wife went to Ari beach in 1995 and was told the same.

You know what I mean...

*sigh*
Any idea of roughly what the price of drinks would be at this resort? Beer, G&T or similar...
Thanks

I've messaged to ask what the local taxes come to, as there's a "local taxes and gratuities not included" clause. Hilton resorts have up to 23% at some of their locations.
booked!...thank you for the splendid find!
just be aware that this is not a private island and you share this with other resort. great deal if you don't mind that.
I would only go for all inc. As u have no other options on a island the costs are crazy for things. Trust me. Don't make the mistake.

I saw a menu on their website. Is around £11 per beer (Peroni - 500ml I think) £7-8 for a shot. Wine is £55 per bottle+

This price could be dollars instead of pounds - I didn't check too closely.

I checked. "Prices are quoted in US Dollars and subject to additional 10% Service Charge and 12% Government Taxes"

So, I guess once taxes are figured in it'll be close to the GBP prices I quoted - Some spirits like Absolut are showing at $5 (+taxes)

Meal plan is there with available restaurants. Still and sparkling water is included at meal times.
Thanks - not crazy expensive then
Wish I was there now 😏
It wasn’t nice weather the last time I went. Cold!
Looks great. Where's the hot deal to find £2,891 down the back of the sofa?
Maldives is great but it gets boring after a few days. There’s not much to do but it’s a great experience

They have quiet, secluded beaches in Greece. You could prob get a nice little villa with private pool for that money.
Could go to Clacton for £50 per person, Not a bargin.. and no heat from me

Don't try bringing duty free booze into the country, they'll take it off you although you can collect it on the way home

Definitely.

I visited samoa after hearing a program on radio 4 which said the island would have sunk by 2050 ( the programme was on in 1999 or 2000) so I went thinking when I die i'll be able to say I've been somewhere that no longer exists. Shame radio 4 were liars.
how much is a pint?
