I'm here at the moment, beautiful place, food is delicious and staff very good too, rooms are very modern and it's 5 minutes to the ferry from Gozo, recommended. I went half board as breakfast keeps us going all day, and for dinner, all drinks are included in the coral restaurant, paid £185 for 4 nights for 2, through trip advisor which linked it to love holidays and it was cheaper than going directly to love holidays, booked my own flights through ryanair for £70 return for 2 from Birmingham. And rented car from autoeurope car hire for £52 zero excess, weather is not bad, not weather for shorts but can wear t shirts, around 15 Deg.

Great hotel. The outside pool is giving me a shiver just thinking about it though. I wonder how busy the indoor pool is?
@haggisheid that looks amazing! Hope your enjoying your holiday!
15 degrees is cold. In a tshirt you will have goosebumps. Also you need to add £134 for bags and transfers. You will need definitely need bags for all the jumpers and warm clothes you will need so more like £660 plus getting to and from the airport this end. I’m saving my money for the holiday season when the weather is hot

15 Deg is not the hottest I agree, but you still feel some warmth from the sun, I just want to get away for a few days from the cold and this was the right price.
We were there in December, on a 4 night AI deal. The Hotel & Staff were very good, but as this is the low season, most of the 7 restaurants were closed for the period we were there. ( I don't know if the Hotel haven't told LoveHolidays, or LoveHolidays haven't told their customers !) You have to prebook for the evening meal in every restaurant except for the Coral, and during the time we were there the Brazilian was open for 2 evenings, and the Italian was open for our last evening (but fully booked before we even arrived !). On a more positive note, we used the Malta Bus Service to travel around Malta & Gozo @ 1.50 Euro per journey, and the daytime temperature hit 28C on the first two days (people were in the sea) and hit an overcast 20C for the last two days.

Went here in May when it was unexpectedly hot (35 degrees on a couple of days). Loved the hotel, but the cheap ******* wouldn't turn on the AC and we couldn't cope with the heat

I'm not surprised it was hot in May. This deal is for January however when the weather is cold.
@Madchester this deal is for people who are looking for the winter sun. Yes it's not going to be hot like the summer, but the weather is still far better than the UK. Averages 16 degrees C.

Its been very very sunny today in Manchester.
It's also been nice here in Leeds. Personally i would still like to be in a warmer climate. Either way, each to their own.

The point isn't that it is hot in a hot country in May, but that the management obfuscated and basically refused to turn on the AC! A point of stinginess that detracted from the otherwise pleasant qualities of their hotel. The deal got heat from me regardless...

Edit: was actually June!

I don't know how much of that £134 you are putting for the transfers, but the hotel does free transfers for direct customers and I'm sure they could arrange a more competitive deal.
