Good price for 7 nights at the Luxor hotel which includes direct return flights with BA. Date of trip = 20th - 27th November.

Luxor, one of the original themed hotels on which Las Vegas built its reputation, offers value for money and a great location at the bottom of the Strip. An impressive sight in Las Vegas, Luxor consists of a huge 30-storey onyx pyramid which contains the hotel and casino. This is guarded by a massive replica of the famous Sphinx of Giza, alongside the obelisk of Luxor and other ancient Egyptian statues and features including an Egyptian bazaar.

Most pools are shut , some hotels keep one open for the crazies ! Good deal but them old planes that BA use on that route from LHR are nasty . Our screens where broke , recliner broke , chewing gum on seats and air conditioning dripping over people. We took a short video of all the problems and threatened to post the video on BA social media platforms , they apologised and refunded us the full flight amount and said these planes only have 2-3 years service left in them . I personally wouldn’t fly this route with BA .

How rubbish that we live in a compensation culture today....

Water dripping on our lap for hours , with no spare seats to move to . Chewing gum on our seats , tv screens broke and couldn't set my seat to recline.
I would of rather everything was fine and we paid full .
Flew with Virgin Atlantic on this route 12 times and had amazing service and nice planes .
They new that where in the wrong using that plane , that's why they paid us back the full amount. Plus I guess they didn't want people knowing about the older planes they use on party routes .
Some trolls on here

It's not miles from the action. 10mins walk to MGM Grand, with New York New York and Excalibur on the way. Another 15mins walk to the Bellagio.

I'd prefer it to be on the cooler side rather than melting or trying to navigate a crowded poolside. Nice weather to hire a car and drive out to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon.

Not sure the real pyramids have a light beam shining from the top.(confused)
Location detail in title would've helped a little, didn't look too much in detail of picture as was too much concentrating on the many amazing Amazon deals today 🙃

I thought the Luxor was in a pretty decent location? Certainly not miles from the action.
Great deal
Luxor and Giza are hours n hours away from one another... Luxor does have other things to see
Anyone tried to book this? —-I can’t get it to work

It’s all about opinions, but anything South of Tropicana Ave is quite far from ‘centre’ strip. I’d consider the MGG or NYNY/Park MGM much better location if you want to save on hotel but hey, it’s £475 to one of the most fun cities in the world, can’t be sniffed at.
Resort fee is a killer but hopefully you win a few $$$ to cover that.
Fantastic prices if you're ok with the colder temps. Heat from me.
The Luxor is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in Vegas, and it is segregated slightly away from the main strip.

To anyone wondering I go 3x a year for various conferences so have stayed at many different places.

You won't need the cooler side in November
Check out deals for the Vdara . Always seems to have good offers and its location is perfect for the Aria , Cosmopolitan and Bellagio casinos and restaurants and bars .
The rooms are 5 star and huge , but it’s pretty relaxing and 100% smoke free , with a great little pool .
Good price. But a word of warning- we stayed here on a BA holiday in May and the basic pyramid room they put you in is terrible. Almost all the rooms are renovated, except these ones- ours was damp and while we queued to change it, another couple with BA were doing the same!
The tower refurbished rooms are FAR better, pay the extra or at the least get the refurbished pyramid as a minimum

Could always go BAfrom Gatwick on a 777

The BA flight to Vegas we went on was a 777 and it was a disgusting old tatty plane...so I think the 777s are the ones the poster is referring to.

On our flight they ran out of alcohol after 3 hours....yes 3 hours into a 12 hour flight!!! - I'm surprised there wasn't a riot as the plane (and BA knows this as it's an adults destination) is full of adults and nobody could get a drink for 9 hours...yes we dont NEED alcohol, but most people on that plane will most likely quite like a little drink or 2 on their way to Vegas. BA obviously do this on purpose as we went to Orlando the month after with BA and the exact same thing happened...3 hours into a 9 hour flight they had miraculously ran out of alcohol!!!!

Personally I would never fly with BA..they are by far the worst aviation company I have ever flown with...and that includes Ryanair. BA have gone down the pan in recent years and think they can get away with charging premium prices because of their name, yet provide worse than Ryanair planes and on board service.

PS....this is a great deal price wise, but the Luxor is really in the budget bracket for Vegas and as other have said, is a bit away from the centre of the action.

Luxor is NOT four star, it's old and far away from where you'll want to spend most of your time. There are always great deals available on casinos on the main part of the strip. Cold.

I’d personally rather be further up the strip. The hotels are no more expensive. Not as bad as being at Startosphere but not ideal imo

I agree about BA from LHR. Worst flight in the world. Sardines, no beer and cranky diva like staff. Never again.

That is shocking! Reminds me of the time when one of their 777s caught on fire at Vegas. Just googled it and apparently it has been repaired and returned to service! I thought it was written off after all that fire damage!

You can upgrade yr room when checking in. Also, just step outside the Luxor and onto the free shuttle monorail which takes you a little futher up the strip and then onto the strip monorail.vegas.com/transportation/las-vegas-monorails/
From memory, a one way bus ticket was only $2, takes you from end of the strip to the other.
Stayed at Luxor, Excalibur, Imperial Palace (now The Linq) and NYNY, and love all 4! Due to stay at MGM next month. The tower rooms are better though if staying at the Luxor

Paying for a service or product that is not up to standard is a reason to be compensated, this is why there are consumer rights and sales of goods laws. Rather rubbish that people try to make others feel bad about claiming what they are entitled to.

Oh, but we are definitely becoming more “Americanised”. I think people have some pretty crazy expectations on airlines in terms of the price paid. £500 for a week in Vegas - what do you expect? Point A to B, safely - that’ll do thanks.
