Just thought I'd share a well priced holiday that I have just booked.

My wife and I stopped here last year and paid £1480 for a 1 week stay in September. I am not one to return to the same destination twice, however, the hotel, food and staff were excellent so thought I'd have a look at booking again this year.
The hotel is Mar Hotels Ferrera Blanca which is a 4* hotel with an average 4.5/5 on Tripadvisor.

Upon doing lots of searching through numerous travel agents, I found booking and flying with BA came out at the best price.

I have personally booked a 10 Night stay departing on May 4th at £949 for 2 x adults and 1 x infant.

£350 P/P based on 2 adults flying from Heathrow on 1st May.

Transfers booked through BA were around £65 extra for the three of us.

I would say the drinks are fantastic but the food was a bit hit and miss for me
The recommendations sound great. I just worry that it won't be very warm in May. Can anyone let me know if the pool is heated?
whats the weather like at that time?

We stayed in Mallorca over Christmas and the temperature was 15-20°c most days. So if imagine it would be very warm in May.

I've been to many resorts and I know what you mean, most have truly crap food. Why wasn't it to your taste? Thanks for the recommendation of the other one, I'll check it out

The food was very good, in my opinion, for an all inclusive resort. Don't expect fine dining quality, but the choice and quality was certainly of that of a 4* resort.

We were more than happy eating here for all 3 meals a day, however, there are plenty of local restaurants should you wish to venture out for the odd meal here and there.

High teens to low 20s are to be expected in May.
I was in Majorca afew years ago Last week in May, it was warmer in Scotland!! the second week was much better though. Weather wise it could be hit or miss.

It was between 21 and 25 when we were there at the end of May
Nearly fainted, thought this was during May school holidays which would have been an amazing deal. However, it is still a very good deal for parents who can leave their children behind, for those who do not have kids or those with kids not going to school. Voted hot!

What year was that ? I was in Menorca may 19th-26th 2017 and it was 24-27 degrees every day, best we've ever had in may.
I was there may 11th-18th 2018 and we had a very bad storm on the night of arrival but then sunny spells all week around 20-22 degrees.
We tried beginning of October last year 7th-14th and had great weather all week over 25 degrees.
Think im going to try October again this year, rather than may as the sun was more consistent and sea warmer

End of may and most of june is scotlands best part of summer I find . July and august just seems downhill and meh

Not easy to take kids off school for a whole week at that time. We do that once in a while, but usually with 1-2 days before the school holiday starts.
Away from Palma is boring, that’s why it’s cheap. Get better deal in June for 10 nights in the better area of palma near the airport as more stuff to do. Was like £1150 2 adults 1 child
Anything similar from stansted?

Depends what type of holiday you want, I am happy sitting in the resort, drinking, eating and chilling for a few days! The local town and harbour was a nice busy place however.

It was things like veal, and random Spanish dishes I like to stick to what I know the other hotel in ibiza you can pick what meat you want and they cook it for you iin front of you, you can get a great deal there before the season starts
Only 399 from Manchester
I’ve been here. In May, with kids. Pool was too cold for any of us to go in! But the food and drink was good! Rooms clean and all round enjoyable, just not the sun lounger/pool experience we imagined
Isn’t there a ban coming in on All Inclusive Alcohol in the Balearics this year ? Might be worth watching out for. It was due 2020 just not sure if it’s been confirmed yet
Don't forget the tourist tax you have to pay as well it's per night per adult

I've been in the sea at easter a few years ago, and it wasn't just a paddle in - run out shivering saga.
I've been to this hotel and 4* is a MASSIVE overstatement.

That said, it's great for kids and at this price, it's a bargain
Just checked and 4th May from Newcastle is £375pp. Absolute bargain

Is that the age of the people in the pubs?
Tried looking but too slow.. does adding a infant onto it change the price much???
