Malta is BEAUTIFUL
If you are single or want time on your own £118

Nope but a friend had a great time in November so hoping it's good.

You are in for a rare treat then! Top tip buy a bus pass 15euros for 12 trips plus you can hop on and off for 2 hours which easily covers any trip in the entire country! Whatever you do, go to Gozo get the public ferry (runs 24hrs) Take plenty of cash too as a lot of shops and attractions only take cash.

Depends on your definition of nice, regardless it will be better than here in the UK and nicer people too

I get tha,t but I would hope people would check that before booking (I must be deluded) it will be on average twice what it is here with little rain high 50's low 60's but generally sunny. Just warm but certainly not soggy and cold

I've been there at all times of the year, including January. That pool will probably be closed or for the brave and foolish. The locals will be wrapped up like it's -15.

Lovely place though, especially Gozo.

I went recently just before Christmas. It's a lovely little island. You can expect a lot of winds this time round, some bays are better. I'd recommend going to Gozo on days where there is not much wind. It's easier to go ahead with tourist companies to arrange a visit to Gozo and the blue lagoon in Comino.

Been there in early Febuary, Topaz as well, and daytime was between 15 and 18C. However the evenings were cold, about 7/8C, so certainly not freezing but I regretted not taking a pullover! So just a heads up there for anyone.

For a 7 day stay you are better getting the Explore card for unlimited travel on Malta and Gozo for €21. Even access to the express buses from Valietta.

I went pretty much everywhere with that card.

They have a lovely indoor pool also brilliant place
Bus Terminals in Bugibba will take you almost anywhere.
You don’t need to book trips it’s all easy to get around by bus.
Google will tell you what bus and times to take you anywhere you fancy.
Mdina is stunning and not far from you.
The churches are also stunning no matter where you go.
If you do Valletta take a look in the St Johns co cathedral.
There is too much to take in over seven days.
I’ve been twice and still not seen it all.
History is all around you wherever you go.

Twice? 12-13c daytime average where I live in Sussex next week and 15c average in Malta
Definitely not warm but dry and about the same as late April in this country. So think of it like going somewhere here after Easter.

And Malta is full of history so if going for a touristic holiday and don't mind wrapping up then enjoy.

Going for 4 nights on Wednesday for our anniversary, staying at DB seabank in Mellieha, which looks very close to Gozo side, what are recommended places to see there? I have rented a car to get around. Appreciate any suggestions.
One of my favorite countries in the world, I do prefer to stay on Gozo tho
I'd definatley look to getting a bus pass, think theyre €21 for a week, public transport over there is very reliable, any the tallinja app makes it very essy to find your way aroound on busses too.
I found the buses very frustrating. Most of the time they were full and would not stop and didn't turn up on time either.

The only way to guarantee a seat was to walk to the bus station, even then, you were lucky to get a seat!

Pretty much every journey, if we could get on a bus, was standing room only, packed in like sardines.

Was in April and staying in Buggiba.

I'd read good things about the buses but our experience was reflected in various reviews I read.

Still had a nice holiday overall

It's true. First come first served. I found most using it were tourists. Definitely get the app and a three card with 200mb data or sim with data to get bus arrival times and locations. I found it invaluable.

That's a bit misleading, Malta is 20% of the size of London but only has 5% of the people. It does not feel crowded.
'Malta is already considered one of the most densely populated countries in the European Union, with about 1,265 inhabitants per square kilometre of total land mass.'

For only a little more than bus passes for 2 people you could hire a Hertz car. And in Malta they drive on the same side as us!
