Better than circus circus that's for sure...pity it's from south englandshire tho....
Much better deal :-)
now that's what im talking about. have some heat
Heat added on this deal. Much better deal than previous post.
I want this! I want this! But in August to celebrate my 40 th ! Pretty please lol
Good deal but for anyone who hasnt been before i suggest you look at where the Hilton is actually located.
I agree, good deal (even just in terms of flights) but the location isn't ideal. I would probably book this and then book one of the cheap hotels on the strip (Flamingo for example).
Is it much better than the CC deal?

maybe a better hotel (slightly) and it does have a monorail station but its not on the strip and for a first time visitor a strip hotel is the way to go IMO

Do you know how hot it is in August?

Was 115 degrees last time I was there in Aug (2012)

The Hilton is just of the strip. I think it's called the LVH hotel now.
Try 40C. I did Vegas last year. 6 nights
You got a long walk to the main area of vegas from this hotel. But other than that its a good deal

Or just take the mono rail which runs right outside the Hilton.
Got back from a 7 day trip to Vegas last week. Was one of the best holidays I've ever had. So much to see and do! Great shows, great food, great sights.
It's a great price for a direct Virgin flight. The Hilton is a little far from the main strip but the buses are good if you want cheap transport and will only take a few minutes to be at the centre of all the big hotels and shops.

Buses run every 10 minutes and like another said, u have the monorail, Stratosphere is 5/10 minute walk.
Do not stay in the LV Hilton it is a dive!! Really far / isolated from the Strip and the monorail fares are quite high compared to the RTC buses. Check out vegaschatter.com or tripadvisors Vegas forum regarding advice for staying on or off strip. We are there in May staying at TI again.

Maybe if you run
This hotel is grotty, it's walkable but too far off the strip to walk daily without it becoming a pain, yes there are buses and the monorail but I would really recommend staying on the strip, especially if you are a first time Vegas visitor
just before xmas the kids half term (5 nights in Feb) was £589 Stratosphere flying with Virgin
1200 is a good price but like others have said not an ideal location

we done 8 nights in the strat , upgraded room for $120 for the 8 nights as the basic room was basic . we got a direct virgin flight and 8 nights for £720 each nov . the strat is the far end of the strip but the bus is great up and down the strip every 10 mins
encore or the Wynn is the way to go! love Vegas.
Done 8 nights in November @ MGM £750 including flights. LV is amazing :-)

As other ppl have said definitely stay on the strip as walking/bus/monorail will get a bit tiresome.

Las Vegas! you know that you and that 'virgin' are coming back married!

You seen the price of the mono rail? Will work out to be very expensive for a week's use!
I've stayed at the Hilton Las Vegas for a conference. It's okay.
But its not a big "strip" or "casino" hotel.
It's "off strip" but really only a short walk away.
You do get better value with "off strip" hotels.

However for this price its a bit of a steal. So voted hot.
Strip hotels at this kinda price would be the rubbish ones like Circus Circus or Flamingo (if they are even still around)
I personally would spend a little more money for a medium priced strip hotel (MGM Grand is a good compromise)
The big snazzy ones like the Bellagio or Wynn, while exceptional are also expensive.
And remember Vegas is all about visiting all the different hotels (which are casinos/restaurants/shopping malls themselves)
Although I wouldn't stay here it's a good price, don't forget to add $20 + tax resort fee per day and the monorail is $5 per person per ride so the price will rise quite a lot. Many of the 'good' reports on tripadvisor come from people who have only ever contributed the one review so take them with a pinch of salt, someone else has written 3 reviews but they are all about the same place. A similar hotel that is more centrally situated and would be cheaper if you take into account the monorail prices would be the Excalibur. Only recommending Excalibur for it's location over the Las Vegas Hilton ( there is more than one Hilton in Vegas btw ).

The average high temperature for Vegas in February is 17C and the low is 4C so why not wait until May and get those FlyThomasCook deals ?

When did you last stay at the "rubbish" flamingo?
The Go rooms are funky and they have recently refurbed their standard rooms

Don't think I have evr heard CC and Flamingo being compared to each other

The Flamingo is currently the best priced hotel in the main strip area and is definitely not rubbish. It has recently been upgraded and is one of the nicest hotels I've stopped at in vegas.

Ive stayed in a suite in Planet Hollywood and the mini suite in flamingo was a much better room.
Dunno where all of these "deals" are coming from but its a pretty average price for this time of year. February is one of the quietest months in Vegas (Between CES in January and March Madness) and the weather is pretty cold during this time.

I went to Vegas last year for £1500 for 2 in September and you get much better weather, 25-30 near enough every day.

Couple of points
- Hilton is off strip and a good walk to the centre of the strip. Your looking at a monorail trip each time you want to get into vegas and the monorail isn't convenient (each station is at the very back of the hotel)
-The flight from Gatwick is the best flight to take to Vegas IMO. Free drinks, Free food and great entertainment. When we came home last year we had brand new touch screen monitors where you had a choice of 40+ films and it had an input to plug your phone or tablet into the screen.
-Never book a package deal to Vegas and only book hotels from the companies sites. The offers are ridiculous just for signing up, I got 40% off my room just by going through total rewards

Why? All of these deals seem to fly from the @rse-end of nowhere usually.

Nice to actually have one that flies out from near London for a change.
You should be able to get a flight for under £700, often £600.

I'd rather stay in Planet Hollywood, Monte Carlo, Ballys or MGM. Although for this money you might get Aria or Paris, which are even better. If money is no object then go Wynn, Bellagio or Cosmopolitan.

Love a bit of Vegas, went twice last year

There are only 3 main direct flights to Vegas

This one with virgin, one from heathrow with BA and one from Manchester but that is not a daily flight.
£548pp staying at the Stratosphere (3* on the strip) on those same dates, also flying on Virgin from Gatwick

source: travelsupermarket / lastminute.com
And then how much in taxis to the centre of the strip? I'd rather pay £699pp for Monte Carlo and be able to walk everywhere.

Excalibur isn't great, but is good value at £624pp too. Quad for £643pp has to be worth a go too.
Stayed in the Vdara last year for my 40th, Nice clean hotel off the strip. Would be great to get a deal at the cosmopolitan
The LVH is not the las vegas hilton, its the Las Vegas Hotel, Hilton removed their name from it years ago, probably because its so bad. Its also off strip and i personally wouldn't want to be walking about at night and i wouldn't want to have to rely on the monorail or buses.
It may also be a good price but i guess there's a reason for that and I'd definitely not want to go all that way and stay at the LVH. It would be much better to book it all separately and use smartervegas.com for the hotel and maybe even virgin atlantic direct for the flights, picking the right day will get you a week in one of the budget MGM properties centre strip for around £700.
