This is 3 days more for an extra £520, can't see how the prices have shot up.

3 days for £520 are you saying that's cheap lol

Great city to visit!Lots to do.

Good price but the hotel location put me off booking there when I was looking last year. Everything most people want to see is south of this location. Good price though as long as you don't mind a lot of walking or taking Taxi's/underground.

For 7 night accommodation, this is a great price. Thanks for sharing!

When we went to NYC we found that we spent virtually no time in the hotel, so as long as it has a comfy bed and a 1/2 decent location this is probably more important than the amenities on offer.

The Location is a bit of a pain for this hotel, you can get the subway but bear in mind the trains are every 10-15 minutes usually not every 1-2 like in London. For a similar price range but much better location also consider the Gershwin or Hotel Pennsylvania. Both are cheap and basic but i'd rather spend £2-300 on going out in NYC rather than having a slightly nicer facade & a mini bar etc.

If his deal was years ago (as his comment suggests) then this one is actually far better value, taking inflation into account.

This is an excellent price; air fares to US esp. New York have and seem to be continuing to go up a lot this last 6 months

There are deals out there for the accommodation, its the cost of the flights that are the issue esp. if you don't fly from London

good point

Not Ideal at the time of year especially with the 'polar vortext' hanging over the city!

I'm staying at this hotel in March.

Just be aware rooms do not have Wi-Fi. Only the lobby.

That is a great price.

Bed bugs reports on tripadvisor. Gross!

New York is a great city and this is a very good price. Personally I would preer to be a bit more in Cental Manhattan but then you will be paying more. Providiing you are staying outside of the peak peridos and there isn't some kind of big convention on then you should be able to get some better prices on the hotels...I would think that February after Valentiines is a good time to get a deal.

Personally I would ignore the Empire State Building and just head of the Rockfeller centre -much better views- but that's just my opionion.

In tems of clothes shopping the best deals are at the outlet centres - there is one about 1.5 hours from NY - I think there is a bus that goes there (we drove) - amazing prices for the big brand names...
