If you're either retired or lucky and affluent enough to have a job that'll let you go for that length of time....I'm not..... nice deal for a week of sun

So for most people who have an annual leave quota of 25 days you’re suggesting we use up all our leave one one holiday each year? I’ve more than 25 days but I’m just stating what will be common to most.

I’ve been to Vegas for 5 nights before (get flight prices) I’d rather go and have a ball and be a little sleepy on the way home then not at all.

We often go for the full summer holidays (5-6 weeks), obviously I don't expect everyone to be able to do that.

There are some options for longer stays in the post but this was really cheap, hence the post.

I dunno, you can sometimes get return flights for £200-300 to New York, and you can easily do all of New York in a week, if not less. I hate to think how much 6 weeks of hotels costs.

Don't see it as a suggestion, just stating their chosen length of stay. Personally, I wouldnt go for less than 2 weeks either.

For me, cost and traveling that distance would be equal factors . I could spend a week just shopping in NYC . There's so much to see in surrounding areas. Not much further on to Martha's vineyard. I definitely wouldn't just stop at one place, having gone all that way. Guess horses for courses.

Obviously not, I suggested two weeks was the optimal length.

I said WE as in MY FAMILY go for a long period of time. I work damn hard but only work 32 weeks a year so get to enjoy the summer in the best way possible.

Any jobs going where you work?

Always, it requires very specific computer science and engineering degrees and it's 4 X 8 week blocks in Dubai with 6-8 week gaps in between which I try and time for Christmas, summer and Halloween. Pays £90-£160k a year depending on experience. Plus all flights are with Emirates first class and I can bring my family out twice a year all paid. I've done it four years now and only intend on doing it for another two years. It's decent pay but hard away from family for so long.

New York is probably the exception, I'd happily go for 3-4 days over Xmas. But Florida is a different beast altogether, there's so much to do after that traveling days having 6 days is just not enough.

I went and was bored after a week because I'd done everything. I took a domestic flight in the end for a few days elsewhere but I'd have been happier with just NYC. Once you factor in the cost of a domestic flight it's not really that much of a saving since nowhere in America is close.

I’m pleased for you pal, no really I am. I’m also really pleased I got to know how much you earn.
Enjoy your holidays.
Great find been there every year since 2011 was planning to give Orlando a miss this year but this is tempting
We normally go for 2 weeks but its definitely worth going for a week though especially at this price just shame best park ticket deals are 2 weeks can't even sell unused weeks like you use to be able to
