When using Ryanair, it works out much cheaper booking a separate seat for your luggage.
Can u do that or is that sarcasm?

I think your success will depend on the staff you get, they generally prowl the boarding queue in packs waiting to pounce on anyone with a bag bigger than a packet of crisps. That said I have seen musicians book seats for their instruments and sit with them on the flight.

Presumably you need to speak to their customer services as I don't believe you could pass the Ryanair online checkout and purchase your tickets without having a named person with ID allocated to that seat.

Nah it's legit. I've done it for year on various airlines. Seat tickets for under £20. So always save abit booking an extra one for bigger bags
Being sarcastic me thinks! I paid £4.99 for the flight each way to faro from east midlands and £12 each way for my bag!

Still super cheap though!
ITs cheap b/c its out of season and the Algarve has gotten a bad rap in recent years. Mostly b/c its really cold sea has been even colder then usual.

It has not been as sunny as has previously been suggested either!

If you want to wander around the you are better off in Lagos further down the coast. It tends to be warmer on the eastern Algarve, less touristic.

Out of season.. yes.. bad rap.. not experienced any... not colder when visited over the Xmas break. Went up to 23 and mostly on Tshirts during the day.

Most of the water activities were closed though.. But still plentiful to do and see. Amazing food and portions too. 😋
Was there in November and didn't like it. It's just full of groups of fellas who are there for the golf and the night life was awful. I was also offered cocaine five seperate times during the week. The first time was when we literally first stepped foot in the marina and I even had a guy pulling up in a car beside me whilst I walked to the beach asking did I want any...but then maybe golf and coke is what you're after in a holiday.
Yeah albufeira has the 'coke' dealers issue now too. Funnily enough only approached when I was on a stag do with loads of lads, didn't bother me/see any when I was on a holiday the year before.
We absolutely loved Faro!

Are you talking about it being even colder than usual in April or in general? As I've been the Algarve the last two years around now, and the weather has been hotter than usual, I'm in the Algarve now and it's been touching 20 degrees most afternoons....

You've said about Lagos being better to wander around, then afterwards say it being warmer to the East, which is true, but Lagos is to the West, and Vilamoura is further to the East (although not that East), so I assume they were totally separate statements...

Personally I would also stay in Lagos over Vilamoura, especially around quieter times.
Ryanair! Awful airline

Hello there

Maybe you misread my comment, I said the sea was colder these past two years, I did not mention the air temperature.

I commented also that it was less sunnier in recent years also not that the over all temperature was less.

I believe the famous statement was 300 days of sunshine a year but was now around 280 or so due they say, to climate change!

I think the bad rap. has come from people who see the beaches, see the sunny weather then realise the sea isn't the med and its more for a quick cool down than a lengthy swim!

Sea temperature is hugely affected by air temperature, they go hand in hand, you can't really have one without the other.... If the sea is colder, then so is the air.

With Lagos and the East I assumed you meant them separately but just wanted to check, I thought maybe you got your bearings wrong

Not really, in swimming pool or static pools maybe, more so if its sunny. That aside, makes the Algarve water so cold, is something called "upwelling". Due to the winds, the warm water in the surface is diverted, causing the upwelling of deep and colder ocean waters.
This does not include cabin bags. It includes a small bag to go under your seat.

If you want a 10kg cabin bag its £80 ish extra.
