Flying on 9th October for 7 nights to Barbados in a nice three star hotel on st lawrence gap in Christ church. This is a mega bargain for a Thomas cook holiday. Weather will still be good too.
Excellent reviews on trip advisor. Own gym, pool and private beach. Self catering facilities in all rooms

I have stayed here. The views from the balcony are amazing and the sound of the sea is very loud. Beautiful place to stay.

Is it cheap there to drink and eat out

Yes it is. All bars in the gap have happy hours twice a day and different bars have different times for this, meaning you can effectively get two for one's all day / night by drifting from bar to bar. Oistins is just down the road and you can get lovely fresh meals in a breach setting for six quid per person. Kfc and chefette are also close by as are some other reasonably priced restaurants. It's as cheap or expensive as you want it to be, depending where you choose to eat and drink. All rooms have full cookers, fridges and microwaves for making breakfast etc. There are also some good all inclusive bars where you can drink as much as you want all night for less than fifteen quid each.

pay a little extra and go all inclusive somewhere nice. Barbados is very expensive.

Its not that expensive as long as you stick to local place's, south coast is pretty cheap.

Wow, 3 whole stars.

Can you advise any good all inclusive hotels in Barbados? Many thanks if you know some

3* in Barbados is better than any 5* in Europe been there 4 times at 3* hotels got the T shirt

I stayed at turtle beach resort all inclusive and it was beautiful. Staff literally wait on you hand and foot. I would definitely recommend it, although the rooms aren't cheap. We were lucky enough to win a 4 night stay, they call it the place where time stands still, and they were right!
Pretty sure it was near st Lawrence gap.

If you do go, and haven't been before. The locals will want you to buy their merchandise be it coconuts, aloe Vera or illegal substances. All very friendly but if they hand you something it's likely you're paying for it.

Did turtle beach many moons ago, best roast beef an yorkshire iv'e ever had, I have also never waited so long for a coffee.

The service really was laid back.

Perhaps things have changed since you last went. We went in April and they couldn't refill your glass quick enough, as soon as your glass was nearing empty, the staff were there again asking you wanted a refill. Same with coffees, and even drinks from the bar. Staff walked around the poolside with trays of drinks, ice creams etc handing them out to whoever wanted them, if they didn't have a drink you wanted they would go and fetch you one.
Great variety of food too, I'm a fussy eater at the best of times but I found that there was something I could eat in both restaurants. Would definitely recommend

barbados doesnt seem to be on the drop destination list, how would u find it?

I stayed at Waves Barbados on a Virgin Holiday - it was about 1200 PP. All inclusive, adult only resort with 2 free spa treatments and I upgraded to a sea view. It is on the West coast. Wherever you are looking to stay, make sure it is on the west coast. East coast is the Atlantic - cold, rough, dangerous. Waves was amazing. I cannot recommend it enough
