You’ve got all of Malia’s best bits at your fingertips here. The bars and clubs along the beach road are on the doorstep and it’s only a 10-minute walk to the sandy beach.

Locations don’t get much more central than the Ilios Malia. It’s right on Malia Beach Road, with bars and clubs right on the doorstep. The old town’s a 5-minute walk away, and you can be at the beach in 10.

Malia was an experience even at 18! Has the area improved?
Don't expect luxury or peace and quiet, it's a place to go drinking and for that it's great, bear in mind though many places aren't open out of season which is probably why it's so cheap? Imagine it doesn't pick up until just before the summer hols start.
Malia is a complete an utter dump and this is coming from someone who has been in the last 2 years.

Its literally club 16-20, just masses of teens out on the streets from about 10pm-8am the next day and by masses I mean you cannot move on the road for people.

If you want a party, go for it, cheap drinks and not a bad party atmosphere but dont expect anything else.

If you want a much nicer place but still want to go into malia look at Stalis, its the village next door and its beautiful. It has bars and a club but its much much more family and chill out oriented. Weve stopped there 4 or 5 times over the years for a nice break and still done Malia for a one night blowout.
