looks a good buy for occasional use, voted HOT

That is dirt cheap.

Yeah, hot from me too,not sure I need a set now,but would have loved them previously.

dont expect them to last as they are only cheap and will fall apart very easily.:x

Should be fine for soft block/brick but I doubt that they'll last very long through engineering bricks for example.

Still hot though and handy to have for a DIYer.

My only concern though with the larger core drills is that they should really be used with a drill with a clutch. Otherwise you risk burning out your drills or even worse snapping fingers/wrists when the inevitable snag catches you by suprise.

Beware, remember it's me who told ya!

Agree about the clutch, especially if drilling in an awkward place or (with precautions) up a ladder. But these core bits are for use in an SDS drill, which should have a clutch as standard. Although diamond bits, I am doubtful that they would be very successful in penetrating porcelain tiles and the like, e.g. to put a soil pipe or waste pipe through a tiled bathroom wall - a good reason NOT to use porcelain!

The amount of Diamonds compared to PRO bits is very low

is having a safety clutch like the Aldi sds drill linked above the same as a proper clutch drill? At this price, its cheaper then hiring a core drill from a hire shop.
