Brilliant if you are looking for a large screen sat nav. Download Copilot one of the best sat nav app I've used.

Not convinced withe these cheap tablets bought 2 in the past and both ended up in the bin.
Anyone with reviews?

Does that tab have GPS?
The answer is - NO.
So it will be hard to use it as standalone gps navigation system.
Yes you can buy Bluetooth GPS - but that tab does not have Bluetooth.

Most likelly it would be only good as a photo frame, nothing else.

I'd rather spend just a little more and get something more up to date with 3g, more storage, Lollipop, GPS, BT 4.0 and better screen resolution.

Would this be any good for a 6 year old boy to put learning apps on?

Why not just chuck the money out the window. Dealextreme had nothing but trouble with them. Spend more and buy from the UK.

If you truly think it would be only good as a photo frame and nothing else, then I suggest that the very next purchase you should make is a copy of "Dummies Guide to Using your Imagination".

That is a nice find, as is this OP.

I bought a cheapo 800MHz, single-core tablet for my mother in law a few years ago with that resolution, and you know what, it was totally fine and worked for her flawlessly for a couple of years until she replaced it with a Galaxy. At the time, I think I paid around £27 for that - which was a bargain at the time. The quad core CPU in this gives an Antutu benchmark of around 10k - a Moto G gives around 17k, so you can compare it to that.

Do you need 4g to make that work in a car?

Nope. Copilot let's you download the maps on WiFi and store them on the device. So does Nokia's HERE maps and they're free.

I can't believe people won't let this GI, I'm not gonna pick on anyone specifically,

but this would be uselessssss!!!! as in car sat nav cos u know why......???

IT CANT NAVIGATE!!!.... save your money and buy a map!!!....

only way it could is if external WiFi GPS modules exist or u can use the GPS. of your fone....and at that point why bother just use navigation on your fone...

seriously people just wanna spend money for the sake of it....if you can think of another project requiring a cheap small screen then great...but a sat nav isn't possible with this

Cheap for a reason!!! Will be in the bin soon enough

May i ask.
What is the point of buying something cheap just to discover that is rubbish and if it will stop working you will only have trouble with warranty (yes i do believe that they will honiour warranty but you will need to send it back and its not cheap option).
For not much more you can get tablet that will be better option (it might be refurb but still better option)

BTW i was responding to the person who has commented that that tablet would be great GPS nav system.

Second thought - now that i`ve read yuur favourite book "Dummies Guide to Using your Imagination" i can see whole lot of more things that you can doo with it.
1. - buy it and see does it have a flight mode (spread your wings and fly)
2. - use it as calculator
3. - use it as low power night lamp
4. - bin filler
Oh i have so many ideas now. Thank you for that title it oppened my mind to completly different world that i did not knew exist.

Kind Regards
L

The comments on this are exactly why people have lost faith in humanity lol

IT'S A 26 QUID TABLET. It will do Web browsing and basic app use and simple streaming just fine with a decent wifi connection and for 26 quid that is **** immense so OP have some god damn heat and ignore the toffee nosed tech snobs that would rather spend 400 on a freaking tablet just so they can enjoy resolution that to the average guy is only marginally better to look at

You do make a fair point there and it was not so long ago that we were all using such devices quite happily.

I prefer wine gums to toffee though

I am on my second one of these type of tablets. Bought it for my three year old for learning apps. Screen is really hit and miss and they are quite slow after a while. Screen cracked on the first one (not daughters fault) and Amazon wouldn't do nothing about it. Didn't want to spend mega bucks on hi tech and spec one so bought another cheapy one. I personally don't use it. Don't have the patience too as the screens are not good definition so you are constantly tilting it to find a good position. For kids I would say they are great and do the job. For adults, I personally would spend a bit more on a good one and with a hd screen.

It can be modded to keep up appearances with the neighbours.

Not worth buying except for kids to play with.

For £50 you can get a Lenovo A7 (Ebay Argos clearance) which has so much more than the rubbish on DX.com

A23 is dual core; A33 is quad.
Wonder what else DX is mistaken about!

You can get a Hudl 1 refurb for £49 from Tesco Direct, surely your better spending the extra £22.44 ?

No one ever learns, these are cheap for a reason. Cheap Chinese crap.

Bought one last Christmas
Battery life from full charge ten mins keeps freezing and absol pile of dung !! It is now a beer mat !!

Isn't there an updated version of these?

From dual core to hard core.

It's not poor because it's from DX.com, it's poor and it's from DX.com

Isn't there import/customs charge on top?

Buying a tablet like this was only viable when decent makes were at extortionate prices.

Now that so many established brands have entered the market and prices have dropped accordingly, its really doesn't make sense any more.

This is cheap because it's a pile of ****. I've got one. When it did work it was pretty terrible, then it stopped working. I'm not sure if it's actually any worse now.

awesome....ive bought two,cheers OP x

dx are a nightmare, ordered bulbs all blew sent them back to nominated uk address, now they say this has closed down and have to send them back to hong kong. refuse to answer questions etc etc etc. If you are happy to throw the money away when it goes wrong go for it, just dont expect any customer service at all.

weird - mainly negative comments but it is +175 hot!
