why does everyone put that when they post a dreadful, **** awful tablet ??

what do you think "kids" are going to be using it for ? a paperweight ?

guess what; kids do the same things with these tablets that the rest of us do, and just the fact that it's cheap doesn't necessarily make it suitable "for the kids"

you must be that kid

Probably because at £35 it matters less if dropped and broken than a £400 device, and kids are less likely to be concerned about lack of multi-touch/slower load times/less responsiveness etc.

Just a guess though.

Not bad, probably why its sold out! Would you recommend AliExpress generally though?

you can get the same sort of thing from amazon for just a few pounds more so why bother ordering from China? amazon.co.uk/gp/…1_4?qid=1369809632&sr=8-4π=SL75

I remember watching my son play angry birds on an old cheap tablet (I bought when angry birds was first released years ago), it was so slow as he watched the bird jerk across the screen - but he loved it, but he took such care of it I was happy to upgrade.

Personally for email and web browsing they're fine, wouldn't want want less than dual core 1.2ghz myself and wouldn't touch resistive touchscreen again.

You sure it was Angry Birds ??

These are actually alright with a few tweaks here and there although all cheap tablets IMHO are a false economy. I use one of these as a clock/weather station meaning I don't have to touch it and it works fine. When I do need to work on it it's OK for a while. After money wasted on many cheap tablets over the years this is one of the better ones but spend the extra on a Nexus 7 and have done with it.

So had anyone order from focal price. I've seen many deals advertised on here, but have read apt of negative reviews. Customer service sounds pretty bad, especially if something goes wrong. Then you got Extra import duties to deal with. I might be wrong, can anyone who has dealt with them, leave there feedback.

Agree with steford.Wasted loads on cheap tablets so I've just bought a nexus thanks to another hot UK deal.I wouldn't put my kids through anymore tears with cheap tablets.

yes it was, going back to when angry birds was first released - sorry if i confused anyone, I was referring to the one I bought - not this one, i am sure this cope with angry birds.

I got my 11 year old nephew a tablet from there and he loved it but within 4 weeks it was broken. Someone may have dropped it or pressed on screen a bit too hard. Either way screen is white and nothing else appears

Only 4 weeks use from these non brand cheap tablets is about right, they are not fit for purpose.

Keep well clear, took a daft turn one day and ordered one. Took about 8 hours to charge (100%) and it ran down to nowt in fifteen minutes. Nightmare to get in touch with so lost the head and shot it to bits with an air gun. Lost thirty odd quid but felt a wee bit better. So be warned KEEP AWAY FROM FOCALPRICE

I tend to agree and kids, with their more exploratory and investigative minds are quite possibly more likely to use a tablet for more than most adults.

For me, ordering directly from China is the main issue.

If something does go wrong then there is more hassle and probable cost involved in seeking a replacement or repair.

For the average user that tends to do little more than surf the net and pick up e-mails, this kind of device will do a quite adequate job but I would still pay a little extra and source it within the UK in order to have the purchasing rights that go with doing so.

They had over 100 in stock when I posted the link! should've ordered one myself.

As for AliExpress, it's definitely better than FocalPrice. Generally the same issues as with buying from any other retailer shipping from China. However, as with Amazon market and eBay traders accounts, they offer more protection should you have an issue with the seller. Plus, to maintain good feedback they are generally much more willing to sort out issues. Of the few things I have ordered via AliExp only one had a small fault. As it was a low cost item the seller just sent a free replacement without me having to return the faulty one.
